Because USA is a supepower you shall get legitimate and illegitimate complaints against the supepower, USA, even if you think is unfair. No superpower in history since the Sumerians and Babilonians have ever been 100% "popular".. Call it "the law of history". You rarely hear complaints against, let us say, New Zealand or Paraguay. Of course, New Zealand is a regional power, and Paraguay is somewhat poor. So why complain them? But USA is an hyperpower. Quite an invitation for criticism, good or bad. What do you think?

my friend comes from a long line of military history, dating back to the american revolution in the 1700's, his family comes from old money, but it is just a tradition for the men in this family to serve in the military, during a time of peace or war.. my friend is smart, and well educated, he is on the brink of telling his family he does not want to enlist unless he goes to Afghanistan, but this would greatly upset them. i talked to his father, and i told him my opinion of the war in Iraq being a dishonerable war, and the father simply replied, 'dishonorable or not, this is a family tradition, what does one soldier mean to a cause"? what should my friend do

Q: How many Bush Administration officials does it take to screw in a light bulb?

A: None. There is nothing wrong with the light bulb; it's conditions are improving every day. Any reports of its lack of incandescence are delusional spin from the liberal media. That light bulb has served honorably, and anything you say undermines the lighting effect. Why do you hate freedom?

I got this in an email, thought it was pretty funny.
one question though, does anyone else get a feeling of dajavue? I think I have heard before!! ;)

you know the one Skull n Bones, it's called. The one he didn't want to talk about on Meet the Press. The one incoporated as Russell Trust. 322- The Order of Death located in "the Tomb" on Yale campus.
So does Bush need the skull for his rituals like at Bohemian Grove or is he just not giving it back to be a dick?

While Michael Moore & his movies are highly controversial, this latest one also brings up a good topic to discuss.

Will the government ever acknowledge the illnesses the Ground Zero rescue workers have developed, and do you think they will foot the bill for their ongoing sickness? It only seems fair that SOMEONE help them. If anyone has the resources to get these fine men and women the best health care in the world, I'd think it would be this one.

Bush vetoes embryonic stem cell bill
DEB RIECHMANN, Associated Press Writer
WASHINGTON - Vetoing a stem cell bill for the second time, President Bush on Wednesday sought to placate those who disagree with him by signing an executive order urging scientists toward what he termed "ethically responsible" research in the field.

Bush announced no new federal dollars for stem cell research, which supporters say holds the promise of disease cures, and his order would not allow researchers to do anything they couldn't do under existing restrictions.

Announcing his veto to a roomful of supporters, Bush said, "If this legislation became law, it would compel American taxpayers for the first time in our history to support the deliberate destruction of human embryos. I made it clear to Congress and to the American people that."
Morals !!
laughing through my tears. It is okay to keep our troops in harms way to fatten the pockets of his buddies though, isn't it.
Morals!! RIght Bush..

My foreign friend got in a little bit of trouble during a visit 7 years ago and was denied entry at JFK 5 years after. The lawyer who handled his case back then claimed he was charged for misdemeanor and that it doesn't construct basis for rejection at any port. Does anyone have any idea whether this lawyer is telling the truth?
