While Michael Moore & his movies are highly controversial, this latest one also brings up a good topic to discuss.

Will the government ever acknowledge the illnesses the Ground Zero rescue workers have developed, and do you think they will foot the bill for their ongoing sickness? It only seems fair that SOMEONE help them. If anyone has the resources to get these fine men and women the best health care in the world, I'd think it would be this one.

The family of one of the rescue workers after the attacks went to court to get her name added to the victim count. She died from lung cancer that formed after breathing in the bits of concrete, steel, glass, paper, dirt, and fabrics that used to make up the WTC and the office items inside.

They don't even acknowledge the mental and physical disabilities of our troops, whom they claim to "support". I doubt the 9/11 rescue workers have a chance.

I hope so, but it's easier to bury it along with all the other unanswered questions of September 11th. They gave so much during those dark days, and it is a national disgrace how they have been handled.

Hmm...why is this a US (federal) problem? Weren't the rescuers all local and state public safety workers? Why aren't their local agencies helping them?
