What makes you think Hillary wants to pull out of Iraq? Take a look at her voting record and her public statements. She refuses to renounce her vote to go to war, supported the Patriot Act and supported all of Bush's military bills and his troop surges.

She's a hawk and if elected, seems likely to continue Bush's ill-fated adventure in the Middle East.

If you want to put an end to "radicals," then there has to be a major shift in priorities in US foreign policy - namely, making human rights, international justice and secular democracy the cornerstones of our foreign involvement. If we continue to simply look at the rest of the world as nothing more than the producers of cheap consumable items and easily exploited labor markets, you're going to have a lot of very pissed off people for a very long time.

It's not that hard to understand. Look at the history of every other global empire that ever existed. Whether you're talking about Ancient Rome, the British Empire, the Dutch Empire, the French Empire or the U.S. Empire, it is all the same - powerful countries spread (and ultimately, overextend) their influence, the people in conquered lands rebel, and the empire falls into decline.

The only way for the US to last, in the long term, is for the population to recognize that our government's global ambitions are not necessarily in our best long-term interest.

chaos is gonna happen if we STAY in Iraq. Bin Laden and other al-Qaeda operatives are using the fact that we're in Iraq as propaganda for suicide bombing. They're trying to get people to go against America. The longer we stay in Iraq, the quicker we're going to get "nuked". It's probably just going to be another terrorist attack. They would not be that stupid to try and launch a missle.
