There is a big difference, I see so many Republican sheep out there that think "Nation Building", "Domestic Spying", U.N. Treaties and The National I.D. card are conservative thoughts and are not the start of a Tyrannical Totalitarian Regime I am wondering do they know that these are not have never been conservative stances on these issues? i.e. Hillary Clinton wanted a national id card in the form of her socialist dream of a health care system and the Republicans were screaming from the rooftops(rightfully so) that it was a invasion of civil liberties, now Bush takes that idea and make it bigger and legislates it (The REAL ID ACT H.R. 418) and is turning the country into a police state and that is OK because he is a Republican. Is Ron Paul right have "conservatives" lost their way? or do people not know what conservatism is, that neo-conservatives like Bush are not conservatives?

Bush veto'd the stem cell bill life protecting Democrats put together to help find cures to AIDS, Cancer, Immune Issues, even ways to help grow an organ to be transplanted in a patient thats been on a waiting list for years.

It could also help cure so many illnesses and mankind could achieve a new height in medicine . but bushs response to it was: NO. WHY you ask? because of his religious beliefs.

bush disregarded science, medicine , and many years of research to help mankind through stem cells especially embrionic stem cells.

What has the republican party come to? they say they are pro life but are against anyting that can help advance medicine.

This is disappointing.

thank god he'll be back to texas in less than 2 years.

He will probably pardon Scooter Libby, retire to Texas, complain about all the illegal immigrants that he wanted here, and leave it to the next president to get us out of Iraq.

Socialism is a word that leaves a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths. When people describe socialism, they seem to refer to the massive state bureaucracies that we saw developed under the Soviet/Stalinist leaderships of history. So, Sweden is called socialist, because they offer their citizens a wide safety net to deflect the forces that cause poverty.

However, for a long time I lived under the impression that the goal of socialism was to break down power structures. Not NECESSARILY to hand over the control of capital and the means of production to the state, but to break down the barriers that exist between workers and their means of production. So, in my mind, socialism is linked with trade unionism, or an enhanced power of the trade union, which is an institution, or are institutions, that exist outside the state. In other words, "Socialism: handing the means of production to the state, or democratizing the workplace?"

You bet it is. Why? Illegal means illegal. If you break the law, you must pay. This is the harm that illegals are causing to this country: Bankrupting hospitals and schools, making other citizens pay taxes for them, bringing in third world diseases, turning America into a third world nation (slowly, but surely), causing more crime, making up 30% of our prison population, the majority of them don't pay taxes, and taking jobs from other Americans. That is why we should deport them. Yes, it is fair. You may ask, who will take the jobs the illegals had? This is the answer: The lazy able body bums on welfare from the government. Not to mention teenagers who don't work over the summer. Then, we must build a wall! Not a fence. Put more national guard on the border and tanks too. Now that's a great plan I've up with. I'm sure all patriotic Americans, conservative and liberal, would agree too?

Do you think that when Bush baby speaks of respect for life he is referring to his political life, which is for more important to him than all of those who's life will be shortened because of the lack of a cure for diabetes. or those who live in pain and suffering because of spinal injury, or those who are disabled because of Parkensen's disease? The overwhelming consensus of the scientific community, not the loony birds who read goat droppings for their so called knowledge, agree that the veto will delay scientific progress for years. Do you think the term "disgusting obscenity' is strong enough?

I suppose this is classified TOP SECRET like everything else, but has anybody but me thought about it?
