I don't understand why both aspects can't be true. We, as a nation, support people following the laws. How do we do this??? We punish those who don't follow laws by placing them in prison. I don't understand why you would have a problem with punishing irresponsibility! It's a huge problem we face today. Failing to punish irresponsibility has led to children graduating from high school without the ability to read and write, the reliance of multiple generations in a family of living off government handouts, and a lack of respect for authority (teachers, police, parents). I'm only 28, so I'm not an old fart complaining about "those darn kids". People need to learn that there are consequences for their actions. As far as your comment, there are people of all political orientations that fail to take responsibility for their actions (Bill Clinton, anyone?). I think that stating their desire to support responsible actions shows that conservatives are, at least, looking in the right direction. Supporting abortion, large social programs, and large government shows me that the liberals are the ones still unwilling to force personal responsibility for their own actions. Next time, think a little longer on the questions you pose and rely less on a "witty" headline.

They never take responsibility for anything! Outing Valerie Plame--can you imagine if a Democrat had deliberately outed a CIA agent's identity? But conservatives are fine with it, its just politics. Starting a needless war? No problem, "Bring em on!". Running up a trillion dollar debt to Communist China? Who cares? Letting New Orleans go after Katrina? Why care--they're just Black people. No, they never take responsibility, I don't think they have the slightest idea of what responsibility even is. They are like spoiled selfish brats. Seriously, they are very childish.

Look at their fearless leader, for example, he doesn't take responsibility for much of anything. If they are in favor of punishing irresponsibility they will get their wish come November 2008 when they get their butts beaten.

I'm not very happy with the right or the left right now. I think they let the American people down.
And now that the bees nest has been shaken it will be one hell of a damage control term no matter who is president.
