Is there a security force which has immunity from Law?Like Dalta Force for example?
In this novel i am reading "Deception Point"By Dan Brown,it reads:
"Presidential Decision Directive 25 (PDD 25) grants Delta Force soldiers .freedom
from all legal accountability,. including exception from the 1876 Posse
Comitatus Act, a statute imposing criminal penalties for anyone using the
military for personal gain, domestic law enforcement, or unsanctioned covert
operations. "

Is it true or just fiction?

I regret to say this but I think he shouldn't have been because I already knew that he was mentally unfit as a person. He also tried to attack Iran 2 decades ago and USA supplied him with bombs. Somehow he was being used. And by used I mean he was US's toy. The pieces just don't fit. I also think that Bush was really pissed at the Al-Quida attacks so he took it out on Sadam by executing him. Do you actually believe that he thought Iraq was planning to bomb USA with Al-quida's help?

I also think it's because of oil that Bush creates so much wars.

I work for a cabinet shop. We did some work for a lady, cabinets and a countertop. She ended up not liking the countertop that was ordered. There was a mix up with the person who took her order and her.
Anyway, she only paid part of the bill (not even half) because she was not satisfied (she just picked a price herself to pay, it didnt even cover the cabinets and labor). so I re-billed her for everything but the top, I told her I would give her the top for free. I just now got another note from her in the mail after I re-billed her for what she still owed, and she said she is not paying anymore of what she owes because she wrote paid in full in the memo part of the check and we cashed it. Is she now not responsible for paying just because she wrote paid in full on the check and we cashed it?

What are the laws/regulations on maternity leave? My company does not offer it...period. They do let us pay for our own disability insurance that we can use during the time off, but they only allow 6 weeks. Family Medical Leave Act states you should receive 12 weeks. I would be willing to retain a lawyer if it was a battle that could be won...

those many Republicans who keep pointing out the Democratically controlled Congress has lower approval ratings than the President ignore the fact that the Republicans in Congress have a much higher disapproval rating (59%) than the Democrats (48%)? In this question today, at least seven of them answered it by noting this:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AowHsuU.qc3o9O_isF7kiZ_ty6IX?qid=20070619101158AAzALiP&show=7#profile-info-AA11615969

But yet when this is pointed out, so many say "Oh polls don't mean anything." Then turn around and use it to denigrate the Democrats in Congress.

My question is: Is this a deliberate twisting of the facts by them or do they just not bother to look into the details because it wouldn't make it possible to sling that mud anymore on this subject?

It seems that everything on hear that I read that has to do with Republicans and Bush there is nothing but childish name calling and crude remarks. I understand not liking the party or the man but why not discuss it in a manner that has less hatred, instead of taking that approach on the issues.

Last Thursday, completely ignored by the world’s media, Hamas thugs opened fire on a peace demonstration, killing two people.

Imagine the sustained outrage that would pour out of the media if Israel had done something like this. But Hamas murders peaceful demonstrators, and it doesn’t even rate a footnote in the wire service reports.

Before noon, two civilians were killed during a protest held in Gaza City under the banner “Stop the Killing.” Some 1,000 Palestinians marched in the city, calling for an end to the fighting, but when they approached a Hamas position, militants fired at the protesters, killing two.

It seems stupid that the congress works on a bil to serve the American people, but just because Bush doesnt like it he can just veto it and all the work of Congress was for naught, to me, that is a dictatorship !

A person in her 90's, Grandma G, has named son J who has had control of and has been investing/using the estate money, w/G's permission, to settle any debts and give money and personal effects to heirs after death. Son Bu, Daughter S, were given their monetary share while G was living. Daughters, I and M are deceased and the yongest son Bi is living.
G has had meetings with the children together several times while living, and all know the plan.
When G dies, youngest son Bi is supposed to receive money,
one specific heir of M is to receive money and one specific heir of I is to receive money. Each of the 3 refused the money while G is alive, respectfully. When G dies, J holds a family meeting with S, Bi and some other relatives and again states G's wishes. Can any of the 3 heirs take J to court? There is a substantial amount of money involved.
Any websites or organizations would help. The heirs have enough to obtain an attorney. They want to go after J's assets.
