We call them Liberal. Some also call them stupid. I agree with the name of stupid.

So can I. We have the Hillary Haters, all emotion and parroting with no real facts. And the "if you criticize George Bush you aren't a real American." And the "If you want the troops home you hate them" crowd. And the "all Democrats have turned into socialists" crowd. As well as the "all Republicans are stupid and evil" crowd.

I love facts and I use them a lot. But the reality is that a lot of our regulars in YA don't have much use for them. It's more about mudslinging and tagging each other. I know in the last few months, I answer less questions than I used to, most of time skipping past the flame questions. But I'm not completely innocent, sometimes I fall into the vat myself and then later regret it.

Liberals and Conservatives alike...most politicians, 99% of people as a whole.

Two different sides can read the same set of facts different and spin it in their own direction and favor. People like this don't know how to help themselves or their country, only defend their stance til the end.

Illogical if logic escapes them (having had formal logic classes, myself).
Unscientific if facts escape them (having had proper training in scientific method, myself).

Others seem to get a kick out making large portions of our country the "bad guy" or "unreasoning" or whatever just because they disagree.

Silly. For those of you who are U.S. citizens, you are neither unreasoning, illogical, or unscientific just because you disagree with me (or each other).

Only someone desperately in need of facts and logic themselves would resort to such an unfounded and improperly laid argument/proof composed of name-calling, dismissing arguments as silly or nonsense, followed by no facts, no proofs, no evidence, nothing.

So I suppose I might call them: normal.

However, if they do the same thing to our elected representatives I call them, "seditious".

This forum isn't about name calling. Stick to politics, and quit worrying about others using this forum. Is this question based on politics or emotion?

Here is some logic for you. I've noticed the quality of answers to a question is directly proportional to the quality of the question

Zealots. There are people on every side of the political spectrum who fall prey to this form of self delusion and frenzy.

I believe they are called "fundamentalist conservatives."

Sanity eludes them as well.
