From granting amnesty to criminals to saying that if we build a wall they will find a way around it. I hope that amnesty does not pass, but if our congress and W were serious, maybe with this amnesty will would have jail time for those that came after the amnesty.

i think they should pay politicians an average wage that puts them in the middle class america so, then we can have politicans who are in it to help the american people and not for the money.

Most of the Democratic nominees want to erase those preniums on medical insurance so that the average American won't be overburdened with personal bills. Don't you want the same socialized utopia as with your Congressman/woman?

There seems to be a huge argument over whether socialized means a slippery slope in pharmaceutical quality or patient care but I don't buy that since Canada and the Scandinavian countries have all adopted a similar universal plans w/o any leaks or problems

What are your reasons for opposing such a plan?

With there being so much speculation about Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston using and abusing drugs, along with Brittany Spears and her widely publicized bizarre behaviors, and there have been others, I often wondered why child prottective services has never actually got involved and removed any of the kids, when its clear the parents need to get their acts together? The average blue collar family out here would have lost custody of their kids by now, just off some of the things the media has exposed on some Hollywood parents?

We have laws on the books that prohibit employers from hiring undocumented worker. As an American I have to prove my status when I begin a new job. Where is the enforcement? Also, illegal immigrants can apply for, and get, a federal employer ID number.
Let's make it more difficult for illegal workers to take money out of the economy here in America.

I am toying with the idea of becoming a Police Officer (UK) but have been told that many of them lose their social lives when they join up and are often treated warily by existing acquaintances. Is this in any way true?

Basically I was told, 'Apart from thier closest, long-term friends, a Police Officer's only companions are other Police Officers,'

I'm attending a summer program at a medical center and they have us housed at a nearby college. While here, a t-storm occurred and my microwave & mini fridge got damaged (they don't work anymore) and my TV doesn't have any color now. I know its not the outlet b/c i've plugged my appliances into other jacks that do work and they still do not work. Shouldn't I get compensated for this or something? Should I contact the people that are over housing at the college or the people over the program? Thanks

I consider myself a moderate Republican, and here's my take on picking the winners:

GOP - It comes down to McCain and Thompson. It's hard to place Fred in the end-game so early, but who else ya' got? Romney won't survive if for no other reason than the Mormon rap, but it obviously gets deeper than that. Rudy's only got one card to play and I don't think it's strong enough to carry the Midwest. McCain's got the war chest and connections, but Thompson actually looks tough to beat, yes?

DEM - Hillary's going to be in this thing until the end, so it comes down to her and somebody. Obama, of course. Tough pick. Dem voters know a black man has a better chance of being president than a woman (yeah, it will come to that), even if she is a Clinton, so I think Barack Hussein may just win the nomination. Al Gore, anytbody?

Oh my God.. "President Thompson"?

Eesh.

Should we shut down these Spanish speaking TV stations (such as Telemundo and Univision) to help aid in the attempt to curb illegal immigration?

These immigrants are telling their families back in Mexico, that America will adjust to THEM, not the other way around as it should be. By doing this, we are telling these illegals that it is okay to come here and they will suffer no consequences. These immigrants need to know that they have to adjust to America.

Is there any other race or heritage that is coming in just as fast as the spanish speaking folks. I use this term becuase although a lot of the immigrants speak spanish, a lot of them are from different hispanic countries and I guess not just Mexico.

He got pulled over going 68 in 65. This is his secound no proof of insurance in the last couple Months. The officer also notified my friend that his license was revoked. My friend never received any letter explaining that he did not have a valid MN license. Plus they impounded his truck and work tools until he can provide insurance on the truck. He has to drive usualy far for his job, and now he won't be able to work. He's got 3 young kids and home to support. Should he go on wellfare or what? Or does he have any other options? Your input could be very helpful. Thanks.
