He got pulled over going 68 in 65. This is his secound no proof of insurance in the last couple Months. The officer also notified my friend that his license was revoked. My friend never received any letter explaining that he did not have a valid MN license. Plus they impounded his truck and work tools until he can provide insurance on the truck. He has to drive usualy far for his job, and now he won't be able to work. He's got 3 young kids and home to support. Should he go on wellfare or what? Or does he have any other options? Your input could be very helpful. Thanks.

when he goes to court, tell him to apologize to the court and explain... then, ask the court if the court would please consider putting him on probation.
Until then, I'm sure he can find another job!

Call an insurance company. Get insurance on truck. Have insurance company provide him with proof of insurance. Got to DMV and find out why license was revoked, see if he can do something to get it back (like pay the fee/fine that caused it to be revoked)

It won't be cheap but money should fix his problems.

at the beginning....merely because of the fact the TRUCK is impounded, does not mean that he won't be able to request/make arrangemnts to get his equipment or different products out of it. What if his domicile keys have been in there?- could they are asserting "NO you won't be able to HAVE THEM"- No... they does not! Even human beings in detention center are allowed to make arrangemts for his or her possisions to be released to somebody. on the subject of the welfare section- Sorry, yet Welfare has strict policys now. human beings are not from now on allowed to take a seat at domicile and assemble a "unfastened verify" anymore- human beings nowdays do not understand this, because of the fact of ways the device used to artwork some years in the past. additionally- Many states not grant lots "funds" information. nutrients Stamps- sure, yet there are nonetheless very strict rules that is nice to cooperate with and cling to so as to get carry of them. ultimate determination is precisely what others are asserting.

Well lets see he sounds responcible enough to have gotten a job and there apparently circumstances that you dont know about. he knew his licence was expired because anytime we use our license wether it is to write a chech or what have you the person thats looking at ourlicense tell you that they are expired or soon to expire. So he knew he just chose not to get them renewed. Sounds loke another Paris Hilton case.

I don't wanna sound mean, but he should of had insurance. It pisses me off that I pay as much as I do to be legal and there are gumbies out there not doing it. If he cannot afford insurance, how can he afford to pay my hospital bills if he hits me and injurs me and I, a law abiding citizen, cannot work because of his neglegence

Sounds like he's "stuck"- poor guy. Tell him to contact Social Services for help & refferals... -He might also get help from his local Church- if he attends one. Otherwise- the Welfare rolls are his next best option- and SOON!
