Governor Sebelius made light of the problems with the Kansas National guard years ago. In her talks with the Resident Commander Guy she told of the severe limitations of the Kansas National Guard including the lack of manpower, emergency vehicles, and response needs that would be unmet if an emergency occurred. Bush promised to address her concerns in last years budget--and of course, nothing was slated.

And no, that does not mean we need to bring back the "Decider"--LOL

I watch the news read the papers etc etc

I know a fair amount of my Canadian history - we got here on the land grants from the British Crown so did the majority of my home town etc etc

Right now war terror international affairs nuclear weapons global warming and all that disturb me . Crime lack of work ethics .

But I can remember my parents and grandparents (and the things they repeated from thier parents) saying a lot of the things I am now saying etc

We are in for it now if it isn't a war with so and so it will be the imigrants the tax the weather the this the that

So what I am wondering is has anything really changed at all

Except for the fact that they cover a lot more than they used to and the internet gives me news to the second on happenings accross the globe -

Is this the same crap it has always been ?

And will my chidren be saying exactly the same thing in 15-25 years ?
Or is the world really a lot more dangerous and scary than ever before

Someone help before I offend another one of our military personnel. I have these are rank insignia patches, I have green patches with blue stripes-I was told these are Air Force. I also have blue patches with white stripes-I was told by someone else these are also Air Force!! Go figure. I know they can't both be from the same branch of the military, could they??

I acquired a Cellulitus/Staph from a tanning salon. I have had to go to the dr,buy prescriptions and endure alot of pain as well as the flesh in the area turning a nice shade of green turning to black. The tanning salon does not follow sanitation regs(found out after the fact). They use baby wipes to clean the bed off in between clients. So is there a remote chance I have a case for this?

Say they go to the Naval Academy, and get laser eye surgery right after graduation, and the surgery is done by the Navy, or approved by the Navy.

They go on their 2-year tour of duty.

If their vision meets the requirements then, after already having had corrective surgery, can they enter BUD/S training, assuming they meet all other requirements?

My friend and his brother went to a clothing store to buy some things. As they and other customers walked into the store a beeping sound went off as every customer walked in. They bought what they needed and as they were both walking out again the alarm went off as they walked out. So, they are in the parking lot as they hear some people yelling,they turn around and it's 2 employees asking them to come back to the front of the store. So, they walk back and are asked to take out their receipts and as they, other customers are leaving the store as the beeping sound keeps going off as each person walks by. My friend stated that he doesn't appreciate this bcause the employees are causing a scene as if they stole something. As, the employees are checking out the items in the bag, a third employee barges out of the store yelling and asking if there is a problem. My friend explains what had happened and the employee grabs his necklace and says the necklace is the reason the alram went off.

If american scientists found a safe and cheap cure/method for aging that would allow you to live for as long as you want (up to 800 years) without any age related diseases (such as cancer, alzhimers, diabetes..etc) in a healthy state with the physical and mental condition of 30 year old and the majority of leaders decided taking this "aging cure" didn't contradict any ethical or religious values, would you still join the military's infantry division knowing you could probably die in the current Iraqi war? Or would you not join and take the cure and see how long you can live before you died of something else besides age or disease?

P.S. Scientists said overpopulation would be a problem because by the time we started becoming over populated we will have developed the technology to colonize space.

I am a 40 year old female, and my younger brother (30) has suddenly accused me of sexually abusing him when we were both children. He claims he had a "flashback" of some repressed memory and is going to try to take me to court. I can't even describe what I'm feeling right now because there are no words. My whole family is shocked- this came completely out of the blue. I am innocent and have absolutely no clue what to do- I have no prior history of sexual abuse with anyone, no arrest record, nothing. I don't know what's going on with him or why he would do this to me. I don't even really know what to ask here specifically, except can you actually be brought up on charges for a "repressed memory" or "flashback"? I was about 11 years old according to him, so that would make the abusive incident almost 30 years ago. I'm afraid my reputation and life will literally be ruined if he does this, and don't know how to defend myself. Please any advice would be helpful.

Just to let you dudes know, their plan to attack was discovered in January 2005. Thanks to the Patriot Act, the feds were able to listen in on their full plan and gather enough evidence to make an arrest. Three of the cowards were illegals anyway.

Ok. So, I was driving down the road, minding my own affairs. I notice a state trooper who pulls behind me. He pulls up close, presumably to get my lisence plate number and the lights come on.

I pull over and he writes me a ticket for a seatbelt violation. I was wearing my seatbelt. Apparently, it has to be over your shoulder. It was just hanging on my arm a little. WTF? This complete bullshit!

Also, how can he make this call from 20 feet away?

Later I find out at the gas station that they've been pulling over people for no apparent reason all day long. What is the seatbelt law? Maybe I was slightly (and just by a ******* inch or two), but this is completley bogus!

So, our crappy state can't generate revenue, and they've doing an involuntary tax increase? Is this what's happening?

Anywhoo, what's the law?

Does a terrorist have to actually knock at your door and tell you to your face that he wishes to kill you before you will finally understand, or will it require a certified letter direct from Osama bin Laden?

BTW, my question says exactly what it was meant to say. I didn't qualify "Islam" with "militant" or "radical" because there is no other type. Muslims want you either praying towards Mecca or dead.
