Governor Sebelius made light of the problems with the Kansas National guard years ago. In her talks with the Resident Commander Guy she told of the severe limitations of the Kansas National Guard including the lack of manpower, emergency vehicles, and response needs that would be unmet if an emergency occurred. Bush promised to address her concerns in last years budget--and of course, nothing was slated.

And no, that does not mean we need to bring back the "Decider"--LOL

The overall response from this Administration sounds just like the battery of excuses it had regarding Katrina.

I liked Tony Snow when he had his own opinions and his own show. He was one of the first newsmen to tear into the mistakes of our Commander and Chief. Now, all Tony Snow is, is a Mouthpiece for GWB. He is not allowed to disagree with anything that would make GWB look bad, or let anyone else make GWB look like the Moron he truly is. Nothing truthful comes out of Tony Snows' mouth any longer since nothing truthful comes out of this Administration. I always wondered why Snow even took on this job.....I wonder what the pay or what the perks are? Is it because if he makes it through his cancer this time, he will be able to write a book like Tenitt did? As far as the Emergency thing goes, anything that happens anywhere in our country will end up just like the Katrina debacle, unless it happens in Washington DC, or Crawford Texas.

What do you mean "like"? What's "like" got to do with anything? Facts are facts. All of the equipment and manpower necessary is available. Even stupid Sibelius changed her tune after she got called on her comments--even be a Democrat, or two. Try to keep up with the latest news. You'll look ridiculous less often.

In fairness, maybe he is just not quite back up to speed; she was saying the problem is the equipment being gone and he was saying she didn't ask for the equipment she needed which was totally not answering her complaint. He is usually much more skilled than that.
