Who has more credibility? Guys with Phds on the subject or right-wing political pundits and preachers?

I was wondering if LEO's are in favor of citizens having CCW / gun-carry licenses or not? I've actually heard police officers take both sides of the argument. Just wondering.

A girl I know lives there has one kid, is physically fit and works 15-20 hours a week. I don't mind helping those in need & I think the play ground is a good idea. What I don't understand is since the taxpayers are paying most of their rent, Why would they install a swimming pool and a fitness center!!! What are your thoughts?

Isn't it true that the U.S. is the only country in human history to actually use a nuclear class weapon against civilian population?? Isn't it also true we have the largest nuke stockpile in the world? Isn't it true that Iraq did not provoke our invasion? That being said isn't it only logical that Iran is legitimately threatened by the U.S. and in the presence of iminent threat it is just and moral for a soveriegn country to arm itself in an effort to protect itself and it's citizens from possible invasion?

"Saddam’s goal … is to achieve the lifting of U.N. sanctions while retaining and enhancing Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction programs. We cannot, we must not and we will not let him succeed."—Madeline Albright, 1998.

"(Saddam) will rebuild his arsenal of weapons of mass destruction and some day, some way, I am certain he will use that arsenal again, as he has 10 times since 1983"—National Security Adviser Sandy Berger, Feb 18, 1998.

"Iraq made commitments after the Gulf War to completely dismantle all weapons of mass destruction, and unfortunately, Iraq has not lived up to its agreement."—Barbara Boxer, November 8, 2002.

"The community of nations may see more and more of the very kind of threat Iraq poses now: a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction, ready to use them or provide them to terrorists. If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow."—Bill Clinton in 1998.

I blame the school for putting the students at a disadvantage. If just one victim (or witness) had had a gun of their own at the time, this would have been stopped much sooner.

The media failed to report two recent failed school shootings that ended when the lunatic shooting at everyone was shot and killed by other students who had guns nearby. In one case, the hero was arrested for being in possession of a firearm in a gun-free zone.

The university should be held liable for their negligence inherent in their campus gun-ban.

The following link is to Tulane University's student newspaper: "The Hullabaloo", which once dedicated its entire op/ed page to hateful ranting against a student who suggested that lifting the school's campus gun-ban would help end the string of rapes and armed robberies on and near campus: http://media.www.thehullabaloo.com/media/storage/paper958/news/2005/02/04/Views/Letters.Re.Peter.Egan.Jr-1988477.shtml

No other ethnic group goes to such extremes - in such high proportions - to hide and change their natural appearance to fit in with the stereotypes of other ethnic groups. Women say things like 'too hard to manage' 'looks better', 'men prefer it', etc., But isn't the idea that straight hair is better than natural hair, the most successful act of self-delusion ever perpetrated by black women and men, on an almost universal scale? Can we not love ourselves in our natural state the way God/Nature created us? Can anything beat the crowning glory, or turn as many heads, as a proud black woman with locs, Afro, crew cut, plaits or any other natural style you can imagine? Are we so lost?

Yet today, many Republicans, including Sen(s). Specter, Graham, Sessions, Grasley and Coburn, are calling for his resignation. How do you Republicans who have been waving this away as a Democratic plot feel about it now? Have you changed your minds? Can you still call this a partisan conspiracy? Please, give us your thoughts on this.

During the Clinton administration, laws were passed regarding taxes. The rich would be taxed more than the poor. How much money a family had determined how much in taxes they would pay. The Bush administration got rid of this policy. Should the rich keep the money they've earned or should the poor be helped out? In other words, do you think that the rich should be heavily taxed and the poor lightly taxed, or the other way around?

We were rear-ended in an accident in Vancouver, BC. The car was determined totaled and we were reimbursted for the fair value of the car. There were total 4 passengers in the car, two of which have already settled with the Canada insurance company, however the other two sustained more serious injury, therefore still continuing their treatment. At this moment, we do not have an attorney representing us because ICBC appears to be responsible in admitting their client's fault. However, just want to be on the safe side, I was wondering what is the statue of limitation for personal injury in Canada, Vancouver, BC? Please help or provide suggestions, just in case the Canada insurance company all of a sudden decide to act bad faithly after statue of limitaion kicks in.

I've heard this argument from pro-choice people many times. Don't tell a woman what to do with her own body. I don't understand how a guy can be part of his mother and not a separate entity inside of his mother. Does this mean that men are really part female? Either explain, or stop using this argument.
