Happier families? You choose the gender of your partner after all, and of your adoptive kids, if you decide to adopt, having one or another picture of your potential family in mind. So why not, if it doesn't harm anyone. Though I'm not sure about the more distant future of the world if everyone starts to create their own "model kids", in terms of appearance, talents, etc. Sounds like sci-fi, but seems like we are on this way now.

You can usually identify the sex via sonogram in the first trimester already.

If the fetus is not the gender you want, it is already legal to abort it.

So if parents are adamant about having a child of a certain gender, it makes sense to do it earlier on the gestation rather than waiting and performing the abortion which carries greater health risks.

well , No real argument here.

I would love to have another baby, but I would really like a girl this time. Especially after 3 boys.

However, I would hate for people to just be able to choose, the sex of a child at will too.

I dunno, I am kinda on the fence here.
