Politics aside (for part of the dinner anyway) who would you rather "hang out" with GW or Bill? No politics just talking BS. I think both could tell some great stories about everything under the sun! However I would have to chill with Bill. Political view aside he just seems to be more colorful. You?

FYI - Thanks for answering the other questions some great views! I figured I would ask something a little more fun. LOL!

As a true American, it's his or her job to speak against anything that is wrong with our Government and not turn blind eye and be loyal because it's our Government or Made in the USA. For example, If we continue to support the U.S. car manufacturer even though they are screwing the American consumers by DELIBERATELY making crappy cars (especially in the 70s), why would they every want to improve? It's the same with our Government. We have to speak up and not support when it's doing Americans harm.

I don't really want any pro or anti Clinton rants, this is just a hypothetical question. Should a candidate - any candidate -be able to choose their spouse as a running mate, or is it a conflict of interest? Could it be considered nepotism, or wouldn't it count in the case of the Clintons since Bill was already president? Thanks for your responsible answers and opinions...

One needs to look no further than the comments about Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi to see the American right wing hates & fears empowered women.

Perhaps all you ladies out there should take notice and vote them out of office, if they had their way you wouldn't be able to vote, and basically be one step above the property of your husbands.

Seriously.

Whether you believe she was supposed to/allowed to go to Syria, she went. We all need to accept that. Did you want her, in addition to going over there in the first place, to insult her hosts as a visiting foreign diplomat by committing an obscene and disrespectful act by displaying her hair in public? Laura Bush did it too, and I'm not criticizing her for it. Good for Laura, recognizing that you don't get anywhere in a foreign country by insulting its citizens. I'd be angry if she DIDN'T wear one. So criticize Pelosi for going, criticize her for what she said to the leaders of these nations... but can we leave the head scarf thing alone, please, knowing that the First Lady understood it was necessary to do, and the Speaker is no different?

Ok----a friend of my uncle believes Nancy Pelosi is making an attempt to unite the Arab nations in an effort to get them to support the Democrat party in the 2008 presidential election. ?
He calls attention to how The People Republic of China helped to get Bill Clinton re-elected to a second term----and purchased the New York senate seat for Hillary.
Why or why not do you feel he could be wrong?

The Vice president shot a lawyer awhile back, and never got into trouble for it, so it must have been an open season, and apparently you don't need to buy a license. Does anyone know when this season opens again, and how long it is open? Is it restricted to certain states, or is it nation wide? Can we use something bigger than birdshot?

OK, let's give a little lesson here.

Minimum wage is $5.15 an hour. Let's say we DOUBLE it (I know you guys aren't doubling it, but the math is easier)

OK, the guy at the grocery store was formerly paying about $100 a week to his cashiers. Now, he has to pay closer to $200 a week. That is a lot more money!

When he sells some fruit, he adds a $1.00 profit to every piece of fruit. So, to make up for the increased minimum wage, he now adds $2.00 to every piece of fruit.

So what happens? ALL THE PRICES DOUBLE! If you raise the minimum wage, it will only raise prices, and drive up inflation.

It sounds like a good idea, if you never took an economics class.

I'd like to be a police officer. What do I have to do to get my foot in the door? I've heard stuff about police academy and things like that but I'm not sure how to get started, or how much training and such might cost me. I mean do I just walk in and put in an application like a local McDonalds or what?

“We have to deal with this new type of threat in a way we haven’t yet defined. . . . With a low-probability, high-impact event like this . . . If there’s a one percent chance that Pakistani scientists are helping al Qaeda build or develop a nuclear weapon, we have to treat it as a certainty in terms of our response.”

OK, what chance is there that the earth will warm so much that our economy and civilization will be destroyed in 100 years? Do we have to treat it as a certainty in terms of our response?
