I'm talking about anyone, from either party, currently in government or running for President. Please give me a source for your information? And please use sources that quote the person and not sources that tell you what someone else meant when they said what they said?

I hope the liberals, which I used to call myself are proud that Nancy Pelosi went to visit a country that sends fighters to Iraq to kill American troops. How sad this partisan crap has gotten.

I'd like to hear from them . It would be great to see them speak frankly about what really happened , both during the seizure, and during their incarceration .

What do you think ?

I was a bit suprised that both Red & Blue politicians are arguing over the same plan.

The issue is end of operations not funding. Both sides are fighting over naming rights to the same plan.

Everyone knows it's a mess. They are fighting over what to call the mess and who owns the Rights to the final title.

Most know I have been saying build a permanent Base and settle in for the long haul, for the last 4 years.

Not to sound like a "see I told you so guy" but that seems to be the plan. Pull 75K men back to the US and leave the others there to rotate on schedule. Bush wants to end with a Surge Congress wants to End with a Sweep and Re-Deployment

Both have the same ending. Take over British Base in Basra. Never leave Iraq.

For the Spelling Police.

Your is used as a posessive modifier before the noun. In that I used Reds and Blues coloquially as nouns.

However you are a, would work in this abbreviated forum style.

You know, objectives that are met, goals that are accomplished? Training security forces instead of using soldiers for police? Reduce the combat from the US, and increase the training? And develop a plan that includes goals and periodic reviews, like EVERY training plan? What is the problem with this? And don't tell me 'the terrorists will just wait us out' because once security forces are trained, they can take on that responsibility. We should cater to the majority of Iraq, not the minority of criminals who might continue to do harm. Our plan should revolve around the people of Iraq, not the terrorists of the world. Maybe we should separate the two for a minute and deal with one thing at a time. What do you think? And remember, I am entitled to my opinion, so please don't call me names.

A drunk illegal (invader) killed two teenage girls in VA Beach. Here's the kicker he had already gotten a dui prior to this incident. Why don't people wake up and see that we need real immigration reform in this country. This guy killed two people and he is only going to be deported for it.

Before you answer , consider this. . . . Iraq is not able to defend themselves from anybody . They only have a handful of tanks and military planes and I'm not sure about their Navy, but I'm guessing that's in the same state as the rest of their military .

So I asked . . what would happen to Iraq. . . But I also I want to know . . . what would happen to the USA and any trust that we may need in the future . Nobody would trust our word. . IMO .

Your turn folks. . . What would happen ?

Food which is produced and reared in the UK is ignored in favour of imported produce for official banquets and the Whitehall staff canteens.
Only 49% of the beef, lamb and pork served at the Foreign Office in 2006 was UK-reared, and only 40% of the fruit and vegetables served came from the UK. Britain has the largest variety of cheeses ANYWHERE (600+), but even this did not prevent the Foreign Office from importing 60% of its cheese.

The National Farmers' Union has said they are "shocked" at the revelations, and said that the Government had no excuse for not using British suppliers for the majority of its produce.

What are your opinions? Should British organic, rare-breed and/or small-scale producer food food be showcased by the Foreign Office?

Is this a similar case to the Bernard Matthews scam profiteering with its imported poor quality, diseased turkey?

Whatever happened to all the hubbub about Stem Cell Research that was being used as a political tool during elections? Haven't heard much from Michael J. Fox in a while. While I don't question nor bash his afflictions (I happen to like him) seems he was being used as a pawn, wouldn't you say?

George Bush has said about the failed war in Iraq: "we're not leaving, so long as I'm the President."

So what do the Republican presidential frontrunners think about brining our troops home?

John McCain thinks that "there are neighborhoods in Baghdad where you and I could walk through" and believes that setting a date to withdraw our troops from Iraq is "a very bad decision."

Rudy Giuliani believes that "a timetable for retreat seems like a very bad strategy."

Mitt Romney believes that the war still has "a reasonable probability of success," and when asked just this morning if his policy would be the same as President Bush's, he said "of course."

The fact that campaigns cost MILLIONS of dollars, and are usually paid for by Corporations and individuals (conflict of interest?)

The fact that every bill passed in Congress is usually loaded with hundreds of millions of dollars of "pork"?

The fact that an issue like Illegal immigration, which is OBVIOUSLY very bad for the country, is getting ignored by both sides because one party's politicians want more votes, and the others want cheap labor?

The fact that people vote based on what drugs a candidate did when young, or how their wife looks, other than their stance on issues?

The fact that we have MILLIONS of sex offenders walking the streets (often legally), but we try to fix other country's problems instead?

OR, is it the fact that, what do we say whenever we go to the polls?
"Who is the lesser of two evils?"!!!!!!
We can't even get a good candidate to run, because their opponents tear them apart!

Or is it something else?

Iran will release the British captives for an "Easter gift" to the UK. Ahmadinajhad has stated that in spirit of the prophet's birthday (March 30) and the passing of Christ, they would be returned to Britain. Now, I know he is crazy , as well as I know that the Iranians think that Bush is crazy. IS this a step in the right direction? I was a bit shocked that he referred to Jesus as 'Christ" a show of compassion for the Christian faith. So, what do you think? Did the UK trespass in Iranian waters? And if so, does this show that people are capable of compassion? What do you think?

Kerry, as a reserve Naval Officer went to Paris during the Summer of 1970, and had unauthorized meetings with enemy Communist North Vietnamese leaders, without the approval of the US Navy or US Government.....

One year later, 1971, Kerry tells the Senate that the US should retreat in Vietnam.

What does Kerry have to hide that he refuses (still into the present day) to provide any official transcript or official testimony of what was discussed at those meetings?

I guess every reserve naval officer should have unauthorized visits with enemy leaders of a country in a military conflict with the US, even if it compromises national security....

/sarcasm off...

Who needs Benedict Arnold when we have John Kerry?

At least the Navy stripped him of his Top Secret clearance as a result of this treachery.

I give a rat's behind @ what he did in Vietnam, it's what he did AFTER, at this meeting and his closely guarded secrecy about it, that bothers me.
