Bush didn't get angry about the three Republican Congressmen that visited two days earlier for obvious reasons. Nancy Pelosi on the other hand? She's second in line to the Oval Office and she has clout and represents the Democratic population of our country. All that the Democrats represent right now is everything our President hates. They challenge his notion of being a dictator, they remind him that the Congress has a great deal to do with waging a war, and to top it all off the Speaker doesn't quake in her shoes when he talks. He stands in the Rose Garden and tells outright lies about how the Democrat's plan will hurt the troops while Pelosi is in Syria in an effort to inform the Middle East that not all Americans are averse to diplomacy and discussion. He doesn't believe in diplomacy, he has made that abundantly clear. I imagine he wouldn't, his foreign relations disabilities have been obvious in his past efforts, we can see it's not exactly his strong suit.
Those who support Bush on the war swallow everything he says hook, line and sinker. There is no talking reason to them, they're all fishing with the same worm.

I'm not angry. Pelosi spent all that time getting votes by saying she wants both parties in Congress to work together. Then she turns around a defies the president by taking this trip to Syria. Numerous US representatives have made the trip before with no positive response (if a response at all) from Syria. Why did she think this trip would be any different? If you can read between the lines, you would have noticed that this is for her own political gains, nothing more.
Like I said, above, numerous representatives have already made the trip with no results. Why is her trip going to be any different.

She undermined the president!! I mean how do you think that looks to the Arabs who don't hold women up to value as it is, and then have a mere Speaker of the House come in to act on behalf of the country, when her policies are against the Presidents? You really don't see anything a little off about this?

Josie, you idiot. The speaker of the house is not a private citizen. Read the Logan Act and then come back.
I don't know why the cons are so angry. Even Jim Baker recommended dialogue with Syria.

No, I am not angry. However, I don't believe that what she is doing is within the scope of her power or job description and in fact is very close to sedition and treason. I am not thrilled at any US representative violating our foreign policy simply for political gain. There are people in the Executive Branch of our government who were duly elected to their position or appointed because of their expertise in foreign relations. Nancy Pelosi is not one of them, and to make matters worse she is there despite direct factual evidence that Syria is a state sponsor of terrorism and is in fact complicit in the assasination of the Jordanian Foreign Minister. She is giving aid and succor to an enemy of the United States and by doing so is in violation of the laws of our country set forth in the Constitution.

Heaven forbid that President Bush should behave in a practical and rational way and talk with the people rather than down to them.
I'll never understand how he got as far as he did. Must have been the money.

they are.
britain talked with iran and what do you know, they will get their people back with little drama.
pelosi will go to syria and probably with her small effort make more progress and good will than the entire six years of the bush admin.
also the iraq study group suggested this very thing.
also there are republicans with her, but i'll wager that fox doesn't mention that...
