it's hard to tell what politicians really think these days.
most likely this pack of professional politicians are just trying to appeal the radical and insane portion of the republican party.
which is too bad for them.
if the next nomination from either party has anything but rational thoughts with regards to the war in iraq and larger war on terror, they will not win.
never has the door been so open to a 3rd party candidate (and i don't mean selfish ralph nader).
if dems and repubs really don't listen to the american people on this issue, they will not win.
this is not the abortion debate or talk of gay marriage. those shill issues may have decided previous elections but are not as important as a war that is based on lies and deception and everyone had better wake up to this fact.
until americans get REAL PAYBACK for the 9/11 attacks, both dems and repubs are very vulnerable - because this festering desire for vengeance will motivate americans like no previous issue in our history.
americans are WAY out in front of the politicians on this issue, and it may be that america once again is led by her people rather than her parasitic leaders...

quite the yank human beings have not reported that for the duration of any respect. that's only CNN, ABC, CBS, and the different liberal media that has reported that we've reported it. The Republican Congress replaced into dumped because of fact they did no longer something they reported they could do. only like this Congress is doing. different than a great witch hunt and going after the President the only element they have performed is to furnish us a funds which does no longer make Bush's tax cuts everlasting which ends up interior the biggest tax decrease in historic past.

The American people generally don't support the war. So the candidates are speaking to a base outside of the majority who will not support them if they break from the president. It is because of this separation from the will of the people that they sound absurd.
Oh, and McCain said that while surrounded by over 100 armed guards, and multiple helicopters, and wearing a bulletproof vest. I think I'd stay home if that's what it took to walk the streets.

This is simple. I don't care what our intentions are--be it, pull out now, pull out later or turn it all to glass--but doesn't anyone else realize how stupid it is to make our strategic intentions known?
Why are we telling ANYONE what our military plans are? Especially the enemy, and even more so, THIS enemy. Do they not watch tv? Read the paper? Have the internet? What do you think they're going to do?
They're going to play us...every single citizen of the world until it's finally time for us to leave. What, do you think they're going to escalate the violence 3 days before the propsed pull-out date? NO!!! If anything, they'll play like they're going to sign some new peace treaty, and the day after we leave, it'll be the same, if not worse than before. WE'RE BEING PLAYED AND YOU ALL LOVE IT.

There are a lot more people than you think or the media and the Dems lead you to believe that support this war and have seen actual data not that massaged by the media from returning vets on why we need to finish the mission. SO the Rep candidates are reflecting the opposing view to the Dems anti-war stance.

Wow you Liberals believe whatever CNN and the Colbert Report tell you to believe...not all Americans agree with the Cut and Run of the Democrats...the polls that are shown on TV only talk to maybe a 1000 people which is what maybe 0.0001% of Americans? And they only poll in areas where there poll will come out the way that they want it too...the anti-war protests only brought out a few thousand Americans and a few hundred idiots, the Pro-war people brought out about the same number of people...so I think your reasoning is flawed...actually the I agree with the Republicans a lot more than I do with the Democrats...

Unfortunately, a lot of them do. Our present troubles in Iraq are the result of the President speaking directly to one chief concern of the people: fear. And one should never lead by fear in a democracy.

McCAin should have borrowed diapers from NASA if traveling so far from home.Walking around with a "FULL LOAD" obviously affected his sense perceptions making him not notice the 100 soldiers and helicopters guarding him.
