Do you like the whole idea of bunch of citizens participating in every days life of a police department? Do you like to tell them what so-and-so police department is doing? Do you like them to go on "ride-along" with a police officer during his/her hectic shift?

What do you think about this program?

Today I was driving on the interstate near the Biloxi, MS air base and saw what I though to be a C-5 flying very low and slow. Later down the road (about ten miles) he came into view again (parallel to the interstate) and did a big u-turn. My guess is it was a training mission but it seemed pretty short. It also seemed pretty close to civilization. Is this SOP?

How in the hell did Bush get elected 2 times ? Do people honestly think that he is a sound leader? Were you so impacted by 9-11 that you felt obligated to elect him AGAIN ? The current administration is the laughing stock of the world! And what CRAP choices we have to look forward to the next go around. Hillary Clinton ? I think I'd rather see Guilliani in the white house than her.At least he has heart! If people would actually pay attention to the world around us and stop and think about the issues,we wouldn't have had to endure this poor leader for another 4 years.

What if the universe simply doesn't give a damn about you or me or the whole human race or life on earth or life anywhere?

What if when you die you just die?

What if there is nobody to hear or care about your prayers?

What if the whole universe is just a vast, violent, beautiful wilderness and that's all there is to it?

Does that notion disturb you or does it comfort you?

Are you okay with the increase of governmental intrusion into your life, "for your safety"? Take for example the backscatter machine being pioneered at Pheonix Sky Harbor airport. That machine essentially takes nude photos that are remarkably clear, regardless of how much clothing it has to penetrate. I know, I know. Please don't throw in the "but they adjusted the machine so that the machine operator doesn't see any private parts." Give me a break! So, is that okay with you? And that is just one example.

By allowing sex offenders back on the streets instead of serving and protecting their citizens from real threats?Don't they have special agents that work with the control of drugs on the streets?I think there needs to be tougher laws in the case of Jessica Lunsford and as others. If some one wan'ts to throw their life away on drugs, that is their own business. But if some one is raped ,I think there should to be tougher laws against that. What is wrong with our justice system?

GW and his lot always preach about supporting the troops. But, he & his administration is responsible for paying contractors way more $ than soldiers for doing the EXACT SAME THING. I work with a lady who's son is a contractor, and he makes over 6 figures (150K is what she said) plugging in computers ALONGSIDE soldiers who make barely more than 25K. Did I also forget to mention that he pays no taxes on it? Last I heard soldiers were not exempt. So much for that LIE that certain people say about how the private sector can do things so much more efficiently and cheaper. How bout we pass a bill MANDATING the same pay for soldiers as contractors who do the same type job!

My general question is, can a recruit in one branch of the military ever switch out into a different branch? If I've been in the air force for 2 years and decided I really to get out and go to into the marines...could I transfer..or delist and enlist into the marines before the air force contract is up?
