You can't judge smartness of a president untill you live in that country. I'm an Iranian and I can only recognize foreign policies of Bush and I can only comment on this aspect of his knowlege. Did anyone of you ever read an article about internal conditions of Iran's government.I'm sure you don't care about that until you are a diplomat or a related student.
In my point of view, Bush is too hasty in his international policies while Ahmadinejad is dumb in it. He is uneder pressure for his international diplomacy.Ahmadinejad came from nothing. He was not elected in a fair election and he is not popular in Iran. As I said you can only see his external sides. If his foeign policies are ambigous his internal policies (such as economical) are a DISASTER.
I can not judge president Bush's smartness but Ahmadinejad IS smart in that he wanted to show off himslef both in Iran and in the world he succeeded in his aim. The decision to set free the sailors was not his idea but he acted like HE did that just in case Iranian people admire him 'cause he didn't let a war begin! But totally Ahmadinejad is an inapt person to be the president of Iran. My personal opinion is the same about Bush but I'm not in a good place to judge( even though I read many articles about USA conditions) about that as you American can not judge the president of Iran by what you only see from your media.(as I'm sure you don't know too much about Iran's conditions.)
to XENYPOO : It seems you've never read a paper or even you've never listened to the news. We have a president and there is No prome minister in Iran!! Prime minister position was eleminated from governmental system in 1989 after Khomeini's death. I think it's you that should learn the difference!!!

Smarter, It is very big word, and there is so many things related in that, we should know before to answer it, which catogory you are asking about?
if that was for the self benefit, I wold say that Mr. Bush is smarter, because, he was able to let all the world following his lies to get the price's of the oil's barrel to be almost 70$ instead of the 18$ was before.
For the nation's benefit, I think that Mr. Ahmady is smarter and as an evidence, look to what he did in the issue of the british soldiers, he made all the world happy with that end.
To get enemies, I insure you that Mr. Bush is the smarter in that all over the world, but to get friends Mr. Ahmady is the smarter in that.
to destroy a 300 years of hard works to build a real country, I admit that Mr. Bush is the smarter in that.
So, let us know exactly in which thing you are asking and we will answer it!!

first of all, u . s . of america has to grow to be an imperialist united states for Ahmadinejad's assertion to be taken heavily. As Vice-President Dick Cheney properly stated, if u . s . of america have been an imperialist united states, we would occupy plenty extra territory in the international than we've paid governments for our presence in the present day. the federal government pays distant places governments billions for permission to place militia bases on their soil. this does not be the case if the U. S. have been imperialist. u . s . of america isn't an imperialist united states and don't purchase into scared Iranian propaganda. Terrorist Iran is illegally coming up a nuclear weapons software and is terrorfied of justified intervention.

now this is a great question. they are both very bull headed and apparently very stupid. Iran's Prez. (I'm not typing out his name) is probably dumber. He pinned a medal of honor on the commander that was in charge of grabbing the Brits...but then Bush was willing to start a regional war over nothing and was surprised that it didn't take 2 weeks. I gotta go with Bush because he's the most dangerous really...i suppose the stupidity factor is about the same....I'd like to see a chess match between the 2...I think Bush would lose, his attention span is shorter and he doesn't have the patience to plan out a strategy

USA with out a doubt...He came to power via election not by a armed revolution...he does not deny FACTUAL history like the Holocaust nor does he threaten to wipe a nation and people off the face of the globe....
One may not be the sharpest pencil in the box..the other just needs to be erased...

Both are very ignorant men, both have little intellect for their respective complicated jobs, and both seem to have missed their university history classes... since I don't have a coin to flip right now I'll have to say this is a equal fight.
Someone above mentioned getting them to play a game of chess... I'd say we should not ask either of them to exert so much brain power, we should start out with a game of Connect Four first.

Iran doesn't have a president. They have a Prime Minister. When you learn the difference, ask your question again, even though it is ridiculous.

They're about the same. Ahmadinejad is stupid because he denies the Holocaust despite the abundance of evidence and documentation, and Bush for getting us into a quagmire in Iraq.
