Hold on there a minute. I agree tha Bush was a bad choice, but it was the will of the people. Granted that only a percentage of the population voted in both election, but it was their will to leave it up to the people who actually voted.
Now the problem is that too many people don't bother to vote. I say get out there and get people registered. Quit talking about last night's American Idol results and talk about current events relevant to the world. Get people involved in politics, even on the local level.
For suggestions, read "Take Back Your Government" by Robert Heinlein.

Lets not forget that we are dealing with the sneakiest most decietful president in the history of the office.
this guy is truly worse then Nixon, and what he has done is ARRANGED it so that he would get elected and reelected by cleverly feeding off peoples fears, constantly heightening those fears, and hid behind a republican government for 6 years.
He had free reign to do as he wished.
Republicans controlled the investigations that could be performed after the 9/11 attacks, or else we would definetely have found what we are finding out now.

All efforts of Clinton's administration warning of the 9/11 that was never payed any attention to.
But the fact that some of what rosie o donnell is not yapping has some truth to it.
that 3rd building that magically fell, when only 2 were struck with planes.
Lets not forgetRight after 9/11 every american wanted some type of payback.
And bush capitalized on that.
Lets not forget that Fox back then wasnt as uncovered as it is now, and had so many americans believing that president bush was all peaches and cream.
Now we know better.
Its just a true shame that 3200+ soldiers had to die for this president's bad choices....with 25000+ more wounded paying the consequences.
Not to mention the 3 trillion dollars we are now in debt.
when before bush we had a balanced budget and would have shown a 5 trillion surplus at this time.
But Republicans still fight to prove how bad democrats are, and still use the same scare tactic arguements to keep the people supporting them.
Its time democrats used their power andput an end to this madness.

I think you answered your own question. "And what CRAP choices we have to look forward to the next go around." The problem is no matter how inept the Republicans are, the Democrats keep nominating the same tired Walter Mondale clone. The only fluke was Bill Clinton, because all the usual suspects had already decided not to take on Bush Sr in a midterm election. If we could get some decent candidates through the corrupt primary system, maybe people would actually turn out to vote.

Stupid is as stupid does. Giuliani won't even be endorsed by the NYFD or NYPD, 9-11 or not. He cut their forces down before 9-11, along with their budgets. They had shoddy communications such as radios and a shortage of manpower. Plus he is arrogant, abrasive, and he does NOT have a heart. He also wanted to move his mistress (now his wife who has been married 3 times now) into Gracie Mansion while he was mayor. Problem was that his wife still lived there and they weren't divorced. Nice, intelligent guy? NOT! Hillary Clinton for President? I don't think so. She may be losing steam to Obama and Edwards. The Repubs may nominate Romney or Fred Thompson. Rudy and The Hill may not make it.

Just cuz you disagree with people doesn't mean that the thinking in your head is valid. It is the height of arrogance to not recognize that although Bush had to claw his way, he's still the legitimate choice of the Republic. To not include that in your evaluation dilutes your point of view. Elitism is disregarding the facts to up hold a bias. It doesn't matter whats wrong with him, he is the choice. Your loyalty is not to Bush per se, but to the office. Figure out a better way to get these election blues out of the way, still have a say in the vote, and the people will be grateful. But blanket criticism of their choice insults them and drives people away from people like you. Whens the last time somebody called you a dummy and you liked it. By inference, when to verbally abuse the man they voted for, you insult them, and you need them. This demonstration of ill will to the Prez is really going to take a toll on the Democratic Party. They come across as cheap, and disloyal. The word, WE, is missing from the platform, it's early I know, they are giving the impression that they will not support the sons of the Republic involved in battle because they just happen to disagree. It just looks bad. Wise up will you.

You must be a liberal. Bush is not the best leader, I will give you that, but he is a vast improvement over Clinton, and is far better than Gore or Kerry. Hillary is insane. I would like to see Sam Brownback in office.

i didn't vote for george bush, i don't think many did the first time. i do think a bunch of fools bought into the whole international terrorism bit for the second time around. they have a hard time admiting they were wrong after they jumped on the bandwagon so easily.

I doubt stop thinking about the issues is the correct solution. Bush stole the first election vs Gore and so no one thought anyone could win against voter fraud so he got reelected.
