Yes they certainly did, and whats more they completely humiliated the Royal Navy and showed them up to be a toothless bunch of fairies. They allowed their people to be captured in the presence of a multi million pound warship bristling with weapons and technology and not a shot was fired in defence against the aggressor, as for the marines present, they must have been from the catering corps.
Let us disband the whole show it is obviously a complete waste of space as a fighting force.

Our naval personnel dancing to their tune in front of the world media??.......It's only the beginning....I can guarantee that the 'Tony and Gordon show' will be parading these "hero's" around in public (After all there are elections coming up) inviting them to number 10 and they will be on every major news channel. I think they were well treated in Iran and even got new suits as a parting present.............But now the torture will begin!!

When a stupid group of radical mullahs did the kidnapping, one can't blame the whole nation for the stupifity. It's like Americans should not all be blamed for Bush and his NeoCons' stupidity for starting the Iraq War.

It's what the Iranian Govt. do to to rectify the stupid act that should be important. There's no reason to think that all the Iranians are at fault and that all Iranians are trying to humiliate UK.

Of course not!
They demonstrated a positive and reconciliatry solution to the issue.
They set a good example to Mr Bush and Blair as what to do in Guantanamo bay with the untried and unconvicted prisoners.

I think more than anything it was a wild attempt to show that Iran isnt as 'evil' as bush administration claims them to be.

Iran president thought it a good idea to try to offer an olive branch for discussions, but they fall on deaf ears, because I doubt bush knows how to spell diplomacy.

Now I think this facade was more a plea to pelosi - toshow that hes open to negotiate. Lets hope Nancy takes the bait.

Because bush cant be trusted when he refuses to give diplomacy a try. If anything for all the soldiers that are dying 80 per month and countless more falling casualty.

Where this idiot president barks of staying the course, we need someone to bring about peace.
Bill Richardson for president!

Hes going into N.Korea, hopefully he'll show bush how a responsible public servant gets things done!

No, they didn't. If I were one of those poor captives, I'd do and say whatever they told me to as well. Those desert scum are insane! There is absolutely no telling what kind of atrocities they would perform if the captives didn't cooperate with their antics. The Iranians are just showing their true colors as having sophomoric third-world mentalities. Everyone, or should I say anyone with any sense, knows that they're lying sacks of sh*t who are so feral that they'd slit their own mothers' throats just to say Na Na Na to their superiors. Let them giggle amongst themselves like schoolgirls, just get your people back!

No. The Iranian president was just taunting the UK to see how they'd react. Typical Iranian government stuff.
The Iranian president is a dangerous idiot armed with nuke knowledge. Idiots and nukes is a toxic drink mix. The UK handled the situation well. And the Iranian pres. has come off looking like a fool.
Again.

Not at all ! I believe the ayatollah in Iran gave Ahmadinejad a directive to get rid of this problem he created, before it got out of hand.

With yet a third carrier group steaming towards the Persian Gulf, I doubt that Ayatollah was feeling his oats !

i think blair thought so, and i believe he was stunned and did not have the answer to the problem.iran provided the problem and they also provided the answer.i think it was a leveler for blair.the brit people have not been humiliated, though for our colonised european leader has come across some wise footwork rather than clever.but he didnt know what it was.
