Today I was driving to class and i was going down a road with a curve on it, now honestly I was going 40 in a 30 so I was speeding. Well when I came around the curve there was a motocycle cop with his lights on standing there (without a radar might I add) and he pointed at me to pull over. Well I pulled over and he walked up to me and in a very rude manor said "I need your drivers liscence" He didn't ask me for my insurance or anything else, he walked away came back, handed me my ticket and liscence and walked off. It said on the ticket that I was going 48 in a 30. I know for a fact that I wasn't. Is there a way I can get the ticket thrown out for the officer not following proper procedure?

Assad could not have been happier because Syrian women, seeing a US official confirming what their husbands, the Imams in the Mosques tell them, and the society at large imposes on them through peer pressure will see in her wearing a Hijab as a confirmation of the societal pressures they are constantly under. No one will ever know how many women took the Hijab on after seeing Pelosi wearing it. The damage Speaker Pelosi is causing with her visit to Syria will be felt for many years to come.

I never thought I'd envision Lady Liberty as a battered woman.

But look at our behavior since 9/11, and you will see that we are captives caught in an abusive relationship.

After 20 years of sacrificing our American citizens to the cauldron of Islamic Jihadism, we received the final and most destructive blow when 3,000 Americans were murdered by Islamic terrorists.

Our response? We have spent the last six years apologizing for offending Muslims and the world.

More than four thousand more Americans have been killed by terrorists in Iraq, where we went to force a fundamental change in the Middle East.

Our response? We have spent the last four years being called the enemy by the Left and by Conservative sellouts.

Iran takes hostages.

Our response? Most won't even call them "hostages".

Syria sends weapons to Jihadists in Iraq.

Our response? Nancy Pelosi and three House Republicans shake hands with Assad.

Pelosi makes Bill Clinton look like Ronald Reagan. That's how far the Democratic Party, and, in turn, the United States, has regressed.

Are Republicans the answer? Well, in regards to the latest news from Iran what have we heard so far from McCain, Guiliani, or Romney other than platitudes?

We're so busy apologizing or remaining silent as we get beaten up at home and around the world, we are simply giving our battered more reason to beat us.

Too many of us will wait until 2008 to take a stand and we'll pretend we have the power in the voting booth.

I'm trying to figure out why republicans think that people who are rich are entitled to handouts when the rich only make money that other people earn for them.

Well me and a few friends were discussing the "War on Terror"
and it's justification. After we decided that the war in Iraq and the war in Afghanistan are two completely different wars, we decided Iraq was unjustified, but Afghanistan was somewhat justified. (According to them, I still think its unjustified) My reason being that I'm guessing they had legitimite reasons for hating the US. Most likely our overstepping our boundries in foreign politics, any specific examples of this? Any other reasons they might hate us?

more concerned with reelection than in running the country. Six years is enough to secure one's place in history, for better or for worse. President Bush would be out of office by now, and his legacy would be less tarnished than it will be in the next 21 months or so. Eight years is fine for a truly great president such as FDR, but there hasn't been too many of those lately.

I just want to say that Iran made the right choice letting us go, I just hope it stays this way . I dont know if its a stunt to make us think that letting them build there Nuc stations will be for power only , Only time will tell.

But saying that i am happy iran let them go, but the real key is the next 5 years. We will see

Its crazy, Iran just single-handily knocked Britain off the world stage. Not only that - they took there spot in the pecking order of military powers.

Dont get me wrong Its great that the soldiers are home safe. That being said, this is still a very very said day for Britain - as well as the free world.

Now before you answer, there is something you should know .
On March 27th, a member of the Democratically Controlled Armed Services Committee, drafted a resolution for its members to acknowledge and sign . That resolution asked and then went on to tell members not to use or refer to the no longer acceptable " Global War on Terror " .

So are we to expect that the 'major changes' that Nancy and the boys promised, were to include doing away with the Global War on Terror ? GWOT
What do you make of this ?
And has your news source reported this to you ?

Do they really believe that the poor will then get rich, or richer? Or will they be back in a year and want the same handout?

I was raised dirt poor, but through hard work I am no longer considered poor. Some think of me as rich, which I am not. I am middle class America.

Hard work and not overspending - Not wasting money on things that aren't necessary. No alcohol, not smoking and no drugs. Never afraid to work more than 40 hours a week.
