England (I would say the UK but it mostly is specifically England) takes in more asylum seekers than any other EU country, by a long stretch. Many of these are not fleeing any kind of persecution but are simple economic migrants.

Yet England is still an accomodating country to all these people - no country has been more accomodating to mass immigration since the USA in the early 20th century.

So I think its pretty unfair and unjustified what you're saying - and what's more you don't seem to be basing it on a scrap of evidence.

The police rarely with asylum seekers. They may arrest them if circumstances so dictate and may detain them in a cell for a short period of time (I think the maximum detention is 3 days without applying for a court order which in most cases wouldn't be done).

Asylum seekers are dealt with by the immigration authorities and by and large are very well looked after. If they are detained then many of the faciliteis are purpose built and they are given free health care, medicine, food, accommodation and all their needs are provided for free of charge.

No system like this is perfect and there may be indivuduals who abuse thier position and cause suffering but this is very limited. Detention centres are very closely monitored by CCTV and there are many welfare organisations closely involved in monitoring what happens. When something does go wrong it's dealt with swiftly and firmly.

If you go to the main Yahoo page you can sign up for a 360 blog, you can post the evidence there and link to it when you ask on this site. Most of us have heard nothing about any torture in the press, and have no idea what you're talking about.
Or put a link to a press report in your questions, we can't comment on something we know nothing about.

I have not seen or heard anything about asylum seekers being tortured in any part of the UK. I think it would come out if it were happening. If you know something get it in the media.

What torture of asylum seekers? you mean the way they are given free board, television, games consoles, clothing, benefits, houses over proper English families, etc, etc.
If anything the Police and civil servants are too soft on them and need to tighten up the procedures and process them a lot faster and deport them as quickly as possible.
