Not heroes nor traitors. It's a loaded question. They're patriotic Brits who did their part to preserve peace. Triggering a war isn't their responsibility. The U.N. (the world) sided with Britain, Britain's response was commendable, and war with Iran is not in Britain's national interest.
Yes, we have the right to be Pi$$ed, but national interest is most important.

They did what they had to to go home to their families. I'm sure Mr. Blair did what had to do as well. They are not traitors and They made no apologies. If they were American's, they would have been left for dead because the US doesn't negotiate with terrorist. I'm not stepping one foot on foreign soil till the international community is more user friendly.

Traitors and a disgrace to the uniform and the Nation they swore to protect for permitting themselves and one of Her Majesty's ships to be taken without a single shot fired in defense.
Having said that: They are just ordinary people caught up in an extraordinary circumstance, so I guess they did no wrong.
They are neither traitors or heroes.
P.S.: They were released as result of my yahoo post: "Dear Iran, will you please release ship and crew."

Neither.
They became mere pawns in Iran's game of public relations and world opinion.
And it seems to have worked.
It's become rather a moot point that they started the whole crisis in the first place, eh?

The sailors are neither heroes or traitors. They are just a bunch of ordinary people caught up in something much bigger than themselves.
They would have been foolish to have said up yours Ahmadinejad or something like that.
