Sorry, but there is no way that I am aware of. You must first finish your tour, and then enlist in different branch. If you are discharged before your ETS date, the you will, 9 times out of 10, receive an RE code that will prevent you from enlisting in another branch.

Depends on your initial enlistment terms, what you do in the AF, and whether the Marines want you. It's not like it use to be in the 60's and 70's when they needed bodies. It looks best on your DD214 if you transfer at the end of your term in the AF. If it's the other way around, Marines to AF, you might not stand a chance. By their very nature, the Marines are looking for killers. I don't mean sadist, but guys that have a very high "testosterone" level. I hope you get my drift and don't take offense. "SEMPER FI!"

I am not sure about any of this but, I think I heard that because the USMC is low on recruits, that you can transfer from AF to MC, but I may be wrong, it could be Army. But I'm thinking that you can't go Army or MC to AF, you have to wait, become a civilan, then re-enlist later. Once again, not sure how accurate that is!

In your situation it would be very difficult if not impossible to transfer to the Marines. The other way around would be easier. When going from any service to the Marines you must go through Marine Corps bootcamp. You would most likely have to finish your contract and then enlist in the Marines. Now if you go from the Marines to any other service, you are not required to do their basic training. (since you already did the toughest one out there) :)

You will need to go to your CO anyway for approval, so go ask them. Yes, you can switch, but you'll need a good reason.
