The supposed victim, Jimmy Dewayne Johnson, attempted to take my life with a bat in my own home. Autopsy reports indicated a high alchol level in his blood. I am fully disabled and a veteran. The state of Arkansas convicted me of voluntary manslaughter and sentenced me to 10 years of a maximum security prison. I am awaiting an appeal decision and then a bed. It has been over a year since my conviction. I dont feel that my case was properly representated by my court appointed defense. The 'victum' has a long violent criminal past. I have been a productive member of the community for many years. My disability is derrived from a degenerative nerve disease from previous injuries. I had my wife immediately call 911 after i fatatily wounded Jimmy Johnson with a butcher knife to the abdomen. When a policeman kills a suspect, they are judged on the basis that they have been properly trained. It is not fair to put the same guidelines on an untrained civilian, but that is the current law.

JACKSON, Miss. - James Ford Seale has remained publicly silent as he awaits trial next month on kidnapping and conspiracy charges in the 1964 deaths of two black teenagers. But four decades ago, he offered his white supremacist opinions freely, to anyone who would listen.

“The time has come,” Seale’s letter said, “for the Christian people of this nation to stand up and fight for what is right in the eyes of God and man and not what a few men in congress or the senate decided on under pressure from the n------ and communists.”

The letter, which ran on the back page of the Advocate, includes several passages from the Bible that Seale interprets to mean Christians should fight, to the death if necessary, to stop the mixing of races. It was a common theme for members of the Ku Klux Klan as the civil rights movement made Mississippi its primary target.

“The so called Civil Rights Bill is nothing less than a giant step to communist dictatorship of America,” he wrote.

Okay, normally I post pretty conservative stuff here. I will admit I'm no fan of the guy but this is different. When someones life is on the line, politics don't matter. I lost a dear friend last year to EXACTLY the same type of cancer. It started in her breast and spread to her ribs and hip and eventually took her life. This is incurable...he isn't going to win anyway so why not spend all his time with his wife and family. Every day is a gift...especially for these folks. He has a ton of money...spend it creating memories with the family.

To the religious and spirituality section: Where does much of the world's sorrow come from?
Maude: What kind of flower would you like to be?
Harold: I don't know. One of these, maybe.(points to a huge bed of daisies)
Maude: Why do you say that?
Harold: Because they're all alike.
Maude: Oh, but they're NOT! Look. See, some are smaller; some are
fatter; some grow to the left, some to the right; some even have lost
some petals. All kinds of observable differences! You see, Harold, I
feel that much of the world's sorrow comes from people who are *this*,(points to one daisy)
yet allow themselves to be treated as *that*. (points to the huge bed of daisies)

or is it all talk? My son is covered through Child Health plus (which I pay for). But here's the kick. They cover the Dr visits, which is usually about $60-$80 a visit. But when he is diagnosed and receives a script, that script is rarely covered by the insurance, and the script tends to cost upwards of $100 and can go much higher then that.

So what is the point of being able to see the Dr if you can't get the medicine to be cured?

And how does offering insurance through the state that doesn't cost much less then if you bought it privately help the middle class?

Does she believe what she says because she doesn't have to walk in our shoes or is she just ignoring what is really going on?

****Please no lib/con bashing.

And stop building nuclear bombs and starting wars and fighting over oil and blowing themselves up.................

I think it is time for the world to just chiiiiiilllll out a bit! Lighten up a bit, go with the flow and start enjoying life instead of all this doom and gloom. Maybe all the world leaders should go on a nice cruise in the south pacific, drink some cocktails and sort out there differences in a stress free environment......

Well, you can dream I guess...........
