Have you heard Bill Bradley lately? He is criticising the Democratic Party for focusing on charisma in its candidates - essentially looking for the next JFK to "save" the party - instead of concentrating on communicating the core values of the party?

What do you think?

And BTW, he finds Obama exceptional in that he HAS that charisma AND he has been focusing on communicating the VALUES of the party.

"Let us reflect that it [the world] is inhabited by a
thousand millions of people. That these profess
probably a thousand different systems of religion.
That ours is but one of that thousand."
-- Thomas Jefferson

“As to Jesus of Nazareth ... I think the system of
morals and his religion, as he left them to us, the
best the world ever saw or is likely to see; but I
apprehend it has received various corrupting changes,
and I have, with most of the present dissenters in
England, some doubts as to his divinity ...”
-- Ben Franklin

“Had it been the object or the intention of Jesus
Christ to establish a new religion, he would
undoubtedly have written the system himself, or
procured it to be written in his life-time.
“Of all the systems of religion that ever were
invented, there is none more derogatory to the
Almighty, more unedifying to man, more repugnant to
reason, and more contradictory in itself, than this
thing called Christianity.” -- Thomas Paine

This weekend I got a seatbelt ticket for "improperly wearing" my seatbelt. I had it clicked in and had my left arm over the belt instead of over my shoulder like you're "supposed" to. I was aware it was recomended to wear it over your shoulder i just didnt't think it was illegal. What ever happened to warnings? Especially when it is a first time offence! Whats the difference, I mean older cars and school buses don't even have the shoulder belt. Anyone ever heard of a BS ticket like this? Anyway to fight it, because $247.00 is a little much for this ticket I think. I am in Canada

"A slew of white citizens groups sprang up to oppose desegregation. The most widespread was the White Citizen's Council, called the "country club Klan" by its critics because members included governors, judges, and congressmen."
http://www.civilrightsmuseum.org/gallery6.asp

The St. Louis-based Council of Conservative Citizens traces its roots directly to the racist, anti-integrationist White Citizens' Councils of the 1950s and 1960s.

CCC's online "wanted" poster of Abraham Lincoln
Its current leader, attorney Gordon Lee Baum, was an organizer for the WCC and built the Council of Conservative Citizens in part from the old group's mailing lists. Like its predecessor, the CCC inflames fears and resentments, particularly among Southern whites, with regard to black-on-white crime, nonwhite immigration, attacks on the Confederate flag and other issues related to "traditional" Southern culture.

From what I am able to gather from those in Britain, Canada and America doctors, socialist healthcare is an abysmal failure. If you are seriously ill they will put you in the hospital and should you be fortunate enough to survive a week you will get to see a specialist who may have enough experience to take care of it, otherwise you are just dead.

If you consider how well the American congress does everything else why would you trust them with anything much less the care of your and your families health. Keep in mind this is not FREE healthcare, when the socialists are involved there is a substantial cost increase over the free market, you know to support all of the socialist administration of the program, and then you do not have a choice to opt out should you choose to not partake.

I do not want to be forced on this issue, I do not want the government involved in my healthcare or healthcare decisions.

DO YOU? DO YOU TRUST CONGRESS TO DO THE RIGHT THING?

Our MP's are lawyers and they've all screwed us. Lord Goldsmith and Lord Faulkner are doing their damndist to legislate our rights and freedoms out of play.

They've stopped the kids playing, restricted free speech and want to intrude into every detail of our lives.

Is it time to refuse to obey their rules anymore and write a few of our own, such as No more Immigrants, get out of Europe, tell gays to back off, and ban the Moslem religion in Britain?

In 1991, alot of people thought that George Bush Senior made a mistake in ending the ground war in Iraq after just 100 hours. Many felt the troops should have gone all the way to Bahgdad and gotten rid of Saddam then. The administration at the time felt as if Saddam's own people would rise up against him and solve the problem for them. It was a gamble that didn't pay off. Still, George Bush Senior showed quite a bit of restraint. I think the best thing that Dubya has done for his father was show everyone what a wise choice his father made. Does the original Bush Administration look better to you now too?

Texas legislator proposes $500 to stop abortions
- A Texas legislator has proposed that pregnant women considering abortion be offered $500 not to end their pregnancies.
Republican State Sen. Dan Patrick, who also is a conservative radio talk show host, said on Friday the money might convince the women to go ahead and have babies, then give them up for adoption.
He said during a legislative conference in New Braunfels, 45 miles south of Austin, there were 75,000 abortions in Texas last year.
"If this incentive would give pause and change the mind of 5 percent of those woman, that's 3,000 lives. That's almost as many people as we've lost in Iraq," Patrick said.
Patrick has filed legislation to make the payment state law, but the legislature has not yet voted on it.
His proposal calls for giving any woman going to an abortion clinic the $500 option, to be paid no more than 30 days after the baby is born and given up for adoption.
Critics say the proposal would violate Texas and

There are no bigger porkers then Republicans.

According to a Congressional Research Service study, the number of earmarks in spending, or appropriations, bills went from 4,126 in 1994 to 15,877 in 2005. The value of those earmarks doubled to $47.4 billion in the same period. Earmarked projects often include roads, bridges and economic development efforts.

"I'm Not A Christian; Can I Join The KKK?"

"From time to time, I receive emails from folks wanting to join the Klan who aren't Christians. They have noticed (on our application) that one must be a Christian before he/she can become a member of the Ku Klux Klan. Most of these folks just write a "one-liner" with the statement and question selected as the title above. I answer all of these emails..."

"Every election season, the Klan is always "out there" campaigning for some conservative politician, who still believes in moral, Christian values. Most times, "the people" never even see our contributions! Every once in a while the media will run a story on some of our rallies. Those events are soon forgotten. For example, last year the AWK rallied for the marriage between one man and one woman in Texas and North Carolina. There were positive results from those rallies. Amendments and/or referendums were passed in favor of traditional marriage. We know that we weren’t necessarily the decisive factor in the passage of those laws. However, we were VERY instrumental in gaining massive, public attention concerning the issue."
