hi ! it would be really nice if you come to visit iran but if you come to iran you should come to our house too i will be too happy! i dont live in tehran i live in a big city in north west of iran but even in my city there are some tourists (because here my city is a very old city and has alot of churches mosques and too old buildings) .but let me tell you i am an iranian and australia gave us visa so i think it wouldnot be hard for you too to come to iran. you make me happy if you come!

You can probably obtain a visa to visit Iran, but you take your personal safety into your own hands if you go there.
Have a nice trip and I hope they let you return if you want to come back.

Iran has frowned upon westerners visiting for quite awhile. (since America helped install the Shah). I doubt you could get a Visa.

no problems as long as you have an Iranian sponsor for the visa or are travelling for business or as press. There are plenty of US citizens visiting Iran, mainly as tourists and they experience zero problems...

I guess you could but why do you want to go to Iran with all the trouble we are haveing from them, You might get there ok but I bet you will not get back that easy.
