Our MP's are lawyers and they've all screwed us. Lord Goldsmith and Lord Faulkner are doing their damndist to legislate our rights and freedoms out of play.
They've stopped the kids playing, restricted free speech and want to intrude into every detail of our lives.
Is it time to refuse to obey their rules anymore and write a few of our own, such as No more Immigrants, get out of Europe, tell gays to back off, and ban the Moslem religion in Britain?

Because they realise their clients' fear of prison/criminal record, and thus will charge them loads to make sure that doesn't happen.

You have two questions in there....
Lawyers are necessary in our society, but the behaviours and actions of many have tainted our view of the lot. As for those that go into politics...well thats a completely different kettle of fish. I think that lawyers make lousy politicians...and that has been proven time and time again. We need good entrepreneurs and business minds running government...not lawyers.

for starters you're referencing from a select few individuals who lets remember are in the judiaciary arm of the government, not just the legislative, it is their job to make laws.
you say you hate lawyers but it is lawyers who defend you when you are falsley accused, who help you get rid of that parking ticket who resolve you drawn out divorce hearings and who help you write your will.
you seem to be in the minset whereby you only like something if it is useful and tangiable.

Not all of them, some really do try to help others. But the politician lawyers, yes I hate them all.
