I'm not entirely sure what you refer to but I'm always suspicious of any group or groups that claim to be ethical from a religious perspective. Their type of morals doesn't have the best track record.

The is no such thing as pure. Ethic is other world for rules. Is a religion that well impose more rules good for soceity no. From the beginning religion was to explain what could not be explain and bring hope. Creating a new system of rules would not help civilzed society

Ethics may be the only rational and fair way to assess what is right and what is wrong, but total religious tolerance is what is needed for a society to be humane and civilized.

Hi swampthing.....I think that Buddhism is a nice choice but I wouldn't want to force it on anyone. It works for me, that's all I can say. Best to you. I have also met some very ethical nonbelievers. I don't think it matters in the end. We've seen a lot of corruption in religion.....very sad.
