And that the enemies of democracy will go away? Is this the typical thinking of the 60s yuppie generation and now, their children, the MTV generation? All the people that just don't get it?

I agree. Christian oppression of freedom must be dealt with harshly. If we don't stop them now, there won't be an America to save. We cannot sit on our hands as they start war after war.

Talk about burying your head in the sand.....

Do you really believe that the US's participation in the Iraq civil war will create peace in the world? And do you really believe that the US is capable of creating peace in the world...through their actions? Why is it, somehow, the responsibility of America to spread democracy? And how will that create a peaceful world?

I think that liberals are just a little more realistic, and choose to strive for a better country for themselves...rather than spending lives and money on other countries....

I really believe that it doesn't have much to do with the war although liberals were just fine with Billybob Clinton's inattention to the constant acts of terror committed against Americans. I believe that the whole thing boild down to their hatred for George Bush.

They hate the President more than they love their Country. They're disappointed that the economy is doing well and that employment is up. They're not happy that taxes were cut so their demigods in the Congress can't come up with enough pork to spoon feed them and they aren't happy that they are not getting things their way. They'd rather see this country go up in flames. Do I have to point out the recent demonstration in California where they burned an American Flag and they burned an effigy of an American soldier? They just hate America under George Bush.

I've never heard a human being, of any party, that believes burying their head in the sand would create peace in the world.

What you fail to realize is that the war in Iraq is a blunder. We support the president in Afghanistan but the Iraqi adventure is foolish. We oppose this waste of American lives and resources and we, and you, if you face reality, see no end to this war. What you don't get is this war is out of control and Bush is playing it by ear. We are bogged down and our military is stretched thin, the troops being squandered by amateurs.

The head hiding is you cons supporting Bush and wishing it was different. It ain't. This war is screwed up and is screwing up America.

You have it backwards, we feel that if we bury all extremists of any type, left, right islamofascist, religionist, then we will have a peaceful society because all the professional haters will be up to their noses in sand, and the rest of us can just live happily.

I doubt they are burying their heads in the sand, they are trying to be realistic about this whole war on terror thing. I have real issues with people that want to spreaad democracy to a region that never had it to begin with, and doesn't want it forced on them now...

So, were Pinochet, Apartheid South Africa, RENAMO, UNITA, Saddam Hussein in the 80's "friends of democracy" or not?

You have been misled by Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity. Your statement ignores facts, truth, logic and reality!

I don't know anyone who thinks that!

Invading Iraq-a country that did nothing to the US hasn't made anything more peaceful either!
In fact it has enraged and empowered Islam even more against the US!
