Thats a good question. Their ego's would probably like to see that so they could say i told you so to the replublicans. But then again they may just want to pull out to coincide with the 70% plus Americans that believe we should leave. I myself am an Independant and support the war, i JUST WISH WE COULD SEE SOME POSITIVE OUTCOMES BY NOW!!

Not all but some democrats do want the US to lose in Iraq. Some of them do not believe islam is a threat, some hate Bush enough where any price is payable to see him humiliated, some have more trust is international institutions than in our own government, some think the US has it coming because we beat the USSR in the cold war. The hard left is a different story, they want America defeated because they hate America, believe the US is a bad country run by bad people with an evil history, that is the cause of all the problems of the world. Those are the people we need to identify and contain

Democrats are upset because so much attention has been focused on Iraq and not enough on the war on terrorism. Democrats believe that the money we continue to invest in Iraq would be better spend on the FBI, CIA and the Department of Homeland Security - agencies that actually prevent terrorism attacks. Are you proactive or reactive?

Doesn't want to burst your little bubble there but the war the US wanted is effectively over already, we lost. What is left is a matter of containment and redefining the borders and dividing up the power within Iraq. This idiotic idea that Bush and Cheney had going in that we would be welcomed as liberators was insane. The war has escalated terrorism towards the US in the world and will continue to do so for decades. Thanks George for making the US far less safe on your watch.

anybody knew it was once unlawful while Blair twisted it and Conservatives supported the conflict on the 2d. This was once the view of Lib-Dems for in any respect cases. Lord Goldsmith admitted it replaced into now not authorized on the 2d inspite of the undeniable fact that he replaced into silenced Few good politicians like Robin prepare dinner, Clair short and Galloway attempt to protest inspite of the undeniable fact that each and each individual, British fools listened to Blair. yet certainty must be triumphant.

You know, I've been reading these kinds of comments for weeks now. Accusing the Dems of being unpatriotic and against the US...wanting a loss in Iraq. And truly, I would have to say that it is the accusers who are actually unAmerican!

Just because one side does not agree with the actions of the other side, does not mean that they want to see the downfall of the country! The Dems now feel that the US has no place in Iraq. The war is now a civil war, and the American involvement is futile. Soldiers are being killed unnecessarily...how is wanting them home safely being unpatriotic?

There is no WIN in Iraq...no matter how long the US stays in occupation.

Not at all, the war is mostly lost anyway. There has never been a conflict in US history(more like recent history last 100 yrs or so) that the citizens of this country weren't asked to sacrifice for the better good such as war bonds, rationing oil and food, recyling stockings etc. Instead we are encouraged to buy buy like good consumers. When you take a country to "war" you take the whole country with you, we don't have that here. This is war is unwinnable, or at least it won't be the ending most Republicans and Americans want it to be. Americans don't like to accept the fact that the situtation may be unwinnable despite the heavy toll on our forces. And this phrase we're over there so they aren't here is laughable. Yes Mohomad is going to to swim across the Atlantic to kill Americans here. This whole terrorsit thing began because Americans were in Saudi Arabia to begin with. Believe it or not I do support our millitary and I was in the Army over 14 yrs ago and I know what serving out country is about. It was once said a true patriot loves his country, but loves his governement only when it deserves it...I love my country very much, but my goverment desevers all the love of a red headed step child.

They all want us to pull out, so the answer is yes. When this all started everyone on both sides agreed on being in Iraq and just as soon as the public's opinion changed on the war, the Dems changed too.

We have won the war. They objectives set forth at the beginning of the war were:
-disarm Saddam of WMDs
-Remove Saddam from power
-instill democracy
All of these objectives Bush set forth have been completed. Rumsfeld set forth 8 objectives. All of those have been completed also.

No, none of the Americans wants U.S.A. to lose the war in Iraq, what we want not waste the precious lives of our brave soldiers, for without any reason or purpose. Instead of wasting our strength for no cause we wanted to have our soldiers power ready to face when the actual threat arrives.
Mr. Bush has created fictitious imaginary concocted threat for world peace & security and wasting our energy and power in Afghanistan, Iraq, etc.,
