People vote for tax cuts for the rich, when those tax cuts will hurt their own community, and will not be reflected in their own paychecks, for instance, or voters allow themselves to get distracted from the real issues like the war in Iraq by "family values" issues that do not directly affect their lives. Why don't people take care of themselves?

This is in regaurds to the State of California and these red light cameras. I know that running a red light is illegal. So is being stoped in an intersection when the light turns red since it's impeding traffic.

I know that these cameras can ticket for running the red light and in some instances for speeding. But can these cameras ticket someone for being stopped in the middle of the intersection due to heavy traffic? In other words can they ticket for impeding the flow of traffic? Or are none of them set up for that sort of thing?

For a traffic violation like that how much would it cost in Culver City? How much would it cost in Van Nuys?

My former employer does not want to pay me the Employment Tribunal Award. I am afraid that they might start to dissolve voluntarily. Also, the owner has about 15 more limited companies in addition to that one I worked for. The claim to the ET was made against the company not the owner. So, if they dissolve it can I still get my money out of them? The law is on my site but they are doing everything not to pay the compensation. The brand and the name of the company matters to them a lot, so obviously after dissolving it they must continue its business as they make good profit out of their business. Is it possible the owner just dissolves it then buys it from another company's of his? Or, is it possible that his relative buys the company and then they will continue working under the original brand?

So, what can I do in order to receive the compensation if they start dissolving their company? What can be done? Thanking you

then dont emigrate here and try to change our tolerant way of life for others...and especially dont come here and try and use our tolerance against us...such as the muslims refusing to check out pork in target stores, when they knew that was part of the job they were applying for....or not taking your oath of office on the bible, which is what our country's bill of rights and constitution was based on...if you come to america, you fir in with us..we dont change to fit your lifestyle...if you dont want pork, then stay in a muslim country where this practice is accepted...if you dont want to speak english, then stay in a country that speaks the language you want....the citizens of america have to play by the rules of fairness and decency and we expect you to do the same if you come here....just coming here for the financial benefits is not a reason to come here....

Soldiers putting thier lives on the line every single day in Iraq and Afghanistan yet having to sleep under landrovers IN bases because of lack of accomodation and proper beds - or in a camp bed and sleeping bag combo in tents. To add insult to injury, these soldiers CONTINUE to pay accomodation and food charges out of thier wages.

Compare that to prisoners living accomodations - air conditioned, regular meals and proper rest periods - of that I am sure the UN and Red Cross etc make sure of.. and, to add insult to injury, these prisoners do not have to pay a cent for thier accomodation or food !

You get the picture here...?

Don't you think soldiers should AT LEAST get equal treatment to prisoners - ie proper rest periods, proper accomodation - after all, the Govt are docking thier wages to pay for such BASIC living standards - EVEN whilst in the theatre of war !!

Hope Gordon Browns' "promised" £400-MILLION will be put to good use for the Armed Services.. I doubt it somehow
