then dont emigrate here and try to change our tolerant way of life for others...and especially dont come here and try and use our tolerance against us...such as the muslims refusing to check out pork in target stores, when they knew that was part of the job they were applying for....or not taking your oath of office on the bible, which is what our country's bill of rights and constitution was based on...if you come to america, you fir in with us..we dont change to fit your lifestyle...if you dont want pork, then stay in a muslim country where this practice is accepted...if you dont want to speak english, then stay in a country that speaks the language you want....the citizens of america have to play by the rules of fairness and decency and we expect you to do the same if you come here....just coming here for the financial benefits is not a reason to come here....

2. We are a democracy
3. We are not a crappy third world country
4. God loves us.

You've got a glaring fallacy in your statement.

'taking the oath of office on the bible' doesn't exist.

The constitution is very clear that noone ever has to pass any kind of 'religious test' in order to serve in government. When new congressmen or senators are 'sworn' in, there is no bible involved - some will later have pictures taken with their hand on the bible for posterity purposes.

By the way - the muslim 'refusing to check out pork at target' means that the muslim can quit if they don't want to do it. The same as if a Christian worked in a bookstore that started selling porn could quit if they didn't want to check it out.

We have freedom of religion in this country, but also freedom FROM religion, and seperation of church and state.

It's time for you to learn a little more about the country you live in.

A line from a poem, “The New Colossus,” by the nineteenth-century American poet Emma Lazarus. “The New Colossus,” describing the Statue of Liberty, appears on a plaque at the base of the statue. It ends with the statue herself speaking: 1
Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.

Where does it say anywhere in the Constitution one must be a Christian to live in America? Where does it say anything about someone without religion not being allowed to live in America.

Our country from its very beginnings has been an eclectic mix of people of all ilk. That is what makes America great. Biggotry whether racially motivated, religiously motivated or motivated by any other stimulus has no place in America today.

A Christian country? "If you don't want pork, then stay in a Muslim country"? Did someone forget to tell you that Jews don't eat pork either? How about this: any law-abiding citizen is more than welcome to live here, whether they're Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Atheist, or none of the above?

This isn't a "Christian country" man... We have freedom of religion here.

And why do you have so much hate towards muslims for not eating pork? You must really like to eat little pigs.

Thank god I live in AMERICA, where I can choose my religion and choose what the hell I eat. I would never live somewhere like you are describing here... It sounds too full of bigotry and hate.

don't assume the things what you are not. it was so called the christians who butchered, massacred, robbed and annihilted south-american civilisations. you are exibiting a mind -set not of a grown up mentality. i think you are very sour about some thing different but exibiting somewhat racist outlook without quitely understanding what realy is bothering you. try to look at the things with a higher perspective and stop behaving like a child whose toffee has been snatched by another little champ!

Do you know what tolerance is? You say you have it but I think you must be confused.
Freedom of religion is one of the basic principals in this country. You realize that the first Pilgrims were discriminated against because of their religion, right? That is why the immigrated to America.

I don't have anymore time to waste on someone who is obviously not educated enough on the history of our country to have a real conversation.

Ummm actually one the reasons Europeans fled to the US is for religious freedom from corrupt Christian beliefs.

EDIT: Oh and I must add that is why there is a spot for FREEDOM OF RELIGION on the constitution, and any average American knows that your rights become a violation to others when you're offending others and disregarding their rights.

Umm...since you obviously haven't read a US History text, allow me to educate you:

The people who broke away from England and came to the new world did so because they wanted religious freedom.

See, our country is kinda founded on that...being able to practice any religion we see fit.

The 1st Amendment would cover this. You should read it sometime. It's part of the Bill of Rights.

You should learn to think for yourself and not mimic what daddy says to you during dinner.

Dittos on the AMEN!!

BTW: The Constitution says otherwise. We cannot make a law respecting a religion... WRONG!!!!

Get it roght before you post incorrect information. It says:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.
