U.N. red-tape? or bureaucracy gone completely mad?

Soldiers putting thier lives on the line every single day in Iraq and Afghanistan yet having to sleep under landrovers IN bases because of lack of accomodation and proper beds - or in a camp bed and sleeping bag combo in tents. To add insult to injury, these soldiers CONTINUE to pay accomodation and food charges out of thier wages.

Compare that to prisoners living accomodations - air conditioned, regular meals and proper rest periods - of that I am sure the UN and Red Cross etc make sure of.. and, to add insult to injury, these prisoners do not have to pay a cent for thier accomodation or food !

You get the picture here...?

Don't you think soldiers should AT LEAST get equal treatment to prisoners - ie proper rest periods, proper accomodation - after all, the Govt are docking thier wages to pay for such BASIC living standards - EVEN whilst in the theatre of war !!

Hope Gordon Browns' "promised" £400-MILLION will be put to good use for the Armed Services.. I doubt it somehow

the thing is people like bush and his inner sanctum create a war on terror , they go to war , they buy there munitions and such from companys that they were directors of and still have shares in (haliburton)they make millions .yet the soldiers that they send to there deaths have nothing **** veicles , facilities sleeping areas and all that while the money they are paid is probably being taxed and being funneled right back in the elites pockets , complicated but in the end the average guy is being played . people that become soldiers are being used as cannon fodder and are not fighting for there country they are fighting for big buisness and the enslavement of there own people us .

they should not be paying accommodation ?? as they are in war zone, if they are they need to see the chief clerk & get it sorted,

THEY DO NOT PAY FOOD & ACCOMODATION when out there,

i agree with you they are living in atrocious conditions & working unsustanable hours , they deserve better
