Do you feel this would allow people to show thier support for their family and history without being hateful? I feel it would be a winning situation and a show of merit to do so. The flag is less associated with hate and actually more historical. I know there is still the debate over the true meaning of the war but could this be a step for supporters to take in good will?

What do you think?

O.K. Here is the thing. One of my good friends is going through a divorce. They are both from Trinidad, the child was born on American soil, has an American birth certificate, she has an American student visa, and all of that. Well, the husband is a not so good person if you know what I mean. Well, they are in county court and seeing a no good county court judge to say the least. The only thing I do not understand in this trial is that the judge has seen how much the husband has lied about his money, his child support, and all of the things he has done to her in the past. Well, the court is willing to grant her custody. Only if she moves out of the country. I wasn't for sure whether or not a county judge had the authority to move someone out of the country in a divorce and custody hearing. It doesn't make any sense at all. Isn't there a way to see another judge?

Mankind must take charge of its future and remove the conservative plague that is eating away at the body of mankind .
We must accept that who and what we are is determined by our programing . That if you are not a socialist who wants a society that cares for all of its people then you must be terminated . We waste countless millions of hours in pursuit of personal pleasure without considering the whole of mankind .
Instead ,blaming others for not taking advantage of the system designed to prey on the weak in society .
Having seen so many people profit on providing false hope to others has just driven me to one conclusion .
Conservatives must change or die .
We can no longer continue to be at war year after year after year when we all know that it profits a few while weakening the rest of society .
The real war is not in Iraq it is against those people who fail to accept man is a social being that can be manipulated and profited from . Those who do this must perish .

Do u think its wrong for the government to tell us we can't spank our own kids? abuse is wrong! but sometimes we need to spank our kids, so that they wont go in the wrong direction and someday be so outta hand that we the parents cant control them. "Timeouts" dont work for everything. If u saw ur child playin with the stove after 2 warnings, would u not spank them?

My friends and I are being charged with burglary of a habitat. We never broke into a house though, we just threw a rock and broke a window. We never even stepped foot onto the property. We talked to a lawyer and he said it's still burglary because something went though the house. Also, he said that people that have felonies can't take plea bargains.

Well, right after, we talked to a different lawyer. This lawyer said it's just destruction of property and at most attempted burglary. He also said that some felonies can almost always be reduced to a lower felony or misdemeaner through plea bargaining.

My question is, which lawyer is right? And why did they think otherwise?

As a Muslim-American myself:

Why would you set a deadline to pull our troops out? All this is saying is "Hey, if you terrorists can hold out until X date, we'll leave you alone." Don't you guys realize that just because we stop fighting them, doesn't mean they won't stop fighting us? A war is two-sided. Just because we want an end to it, doesn't mean that our enemies do.

Do we need to end this war and get our troops the hell out of there? Yes.
Do we need to set a deadline for this to happen? No.

We need to see this war through to completion, which will happen when there is a peace treaty between the radical Islamic groups and the rest of the world.

Think that over 3,000 dead Americans and many more thousands maimed for life is a drop in the bucket? They always compare that number to other wars. Is this belittling of our dead troops the ultimate disrespect? Does this show how much contempt they have for our brave service men and women?

1st AMENDMENT FREEDOM OF SPEECH
• The Patriot Act broadly expands the official definition of terrorism, so that many domestic groups that engage in nonviolent civil disobedience could very well find themselves labeled as terrorists.
• The Government may now prosecute librarians or keepers of any other records if they reveal that the government requested information on their clients or members in the course of an investigation. It has become a crime for these individuals to try to safeguard your privacy or to tell you that you are under investigation.

1st AMENDMENT FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION
• Government agents may now monitor the First Amendment protected activities of religious and political institutions, and then infiltrate these groups with no suspicion of criminal activity. This is a return to domestic spying on law-abiding religious and political groups.
• You may now be the subject of a government investigation simply because of the political, activist, or advocacy groups you are involved in, or the statements you make within these groups.

1st AMENDMENT RIGHT TO ACCESS
GOVERNMENT INFORMATION
• A U.S. Department of Justice directive actively encourages federal, state, and local officials to resist and/or limit access to government records through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.
• The Government has conducted immigration hearings in secret behind closed doors. Such proceedings were once open to the public. Hundreds, if not thousands, of immigrants have already been deported in secret.

4th AMENDMENT FREEDOM FROM UNREASONABLE
SEARCHES &SEIZURES
• Law Enforcement authorities may now conduct secret searches and wiretaps in your home or office without showing “probable cause.” They need only to claim that intelligence gathering is “a significant purpose” of their intrusion, even when the primary goal is ordinary law enforcement. They may also monitor where and to whom you send and receive e-mail, or where you go on the Internet, recording every e-mail address and website you have been in contact with.
• Law Enforcement may now demand any personal records held by any source including your doctor, employer, accountant, or library. All they have to do is claim that it is related to an investigation into “terrorism.” The record keepers may not reveal that your records were provided to the government.
• Judicial oversight of secret searches has been effectively minimized. The Patriot Act directs judges to consent to secret searches based only on the Government’s assertion that a "significant” purpose of an investigation is gathering information related to “terrorism,” as the government defines it.

5th AMENDMENT RIGHT TO DUE PROCESS & FREEDOM FROM BEING HELD WITHOUT CHARGE
• Americans can now be jailed without a formal charge & without the right to confront the witnesses or evidence against them. American citizens are now being held in military jails without charge and without a clear path of appeal for their indefinite confinement.
• Hundreds of Arab, Muslim and South Asian men were rounded up in the Ashcroft raids following September 11, and held for weeks without charges until all were cleared of terrorism charges

6th AMENDMENT RIGHT TO LEGAL REPRESENTATION
• Hundreds of U.S. residents have been detained for months at a time, and denied access to the advice and advocacy of an attorney. The Government may now monitor conversations between attorneys & clients in federal jails.
• The Bush Administration filed papers in court that arguing that an American citizen held in a military jail without charge should be denied access to legal counsel because such access would interfere with the process of his interrogation.

6th AMENDMENT RIGHT TO A SPEEDY AND PUBLIC TRIAL
• The U.S. Government may now jail its residents and citizens indefinitely without charge & without a public trial.

8th AMENDMENT FREEDOM FROM CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHMENTS
• The U.S. Government has taken into custody individuals they identify as “material witnesses,” transported them across the country, and held them for months in solitary confinement without charge or contact with their family.
• According to the Justice Department’s own Inspector General, immigrant men rounded up in the Ashcroft raids following September 11 and held in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, NY were subjected to a pattern of “physical and verbal abuse.”

14th AMENDMENT RIGHT TO EQUAL PROTECTION
• Over 82,000 men from Arab, Muslim and South Asian countries registered with the Government under the Special Registration program. Over 13,000 are now in deportation proceedings. None have been charged with terrorism.

If Hillary is elected, she along with her teammate Bill will have more powers than any other President in the past! And, since Republicans seem to favor a very strong Executive, won't they just enjoy her using all these new powers to the fullest extent??? Sounds like Nirvana for Republicans and Democrats.

When will the Marines deem this chronic and send him home. He's been on several antibiotics and still continues coughing and not getting returned to duty to continue to train.
