If the news being spread all over the world was story after story of how even the President's political opponents are 100% behind the troops and will accept nothing less than total victory, how would events differ?

A man have been stalking me around lately...what can I do about him? Should I inform the police? However, I've been told by my friends that there's nothing the police can do unless he has done something to me. What should I do? I live in Singapore by the way.

Please do not use any biblical references in your answer - the last 2000 years of human & social history have proven that you can't utilize religion as the base for settling international or inner Nation conflict. Well, I guess you could, and then you'll be picking up bits of flesh and bone from amidst the shards of glass, rubble and smoldering remains of your neigborhood.

If a man hits a woman and she does not call the cops on him when he did it, but when he decides that he does not want to be in the relationship with her and wants her to leave and she doesn't, can she call the cops way after the fact and have him arrested?
It didn't happen to me but I know someone who this happened to and now since he knows she is not what she seems and does not want her around anymore, she is threatening to call the cops on him b/c she knows that he does not want to go to jail again. It happened last year and he has not hit her since. Will they arrest him and he is also the tennant in his apartment and not her so can he get rid of her?

I picked up a 2nd job to help pay for my wedding in August. We were told that we would get paid bi-weekly. Within the first 2 months my employer was already skipping payroll periods. We eventually got paid but now I am in a HUGH jam. I haven't gotten paid since the beginning of Feb. He owes me 100 and 1/2 hours of work. This is 6 weeks of pay. I know that he is in over his head financially, but why should that fall on me? I was being patient and still working, but yesterday I saw 2 things that bothered me. One was the HELP WANTED sign he put up. So, he plans to hire someone else and he hasn't paid me. Two was a hand written schedule that said "week ending 2/25" and under my name he had 6 hours. Well, I started writing all of my hours down back in January when he started to "forget" to call in the payroll(that is the excuse he gives me).

My question is, how long should I do this for, I don't want to get him in trouble, but I really feel like he is going to screw me.

As far as I could tell, MSNBC never even mentioned the fact that there was a pro-war protest in D.C. yesterday. If they did, it was only in fleeting, because I sure didn't see it.

Is what you Liberals call unbiased reporting?

And when Fox News gave the same coverage to both the pro-war protest and the anti-war protest, is that what you call a right-wing agenda?

So let me see. The fact that Fox News even MENTIONED anything other than an anti-war message makes it right-wing propaganda.

Correct?

Russia has not been to friendly with us lately but this was random... Russia says if Iran doens't stop its nuclear program immediately like the UN says that they are going to cut off giving them the fuel necessary to continue with thier weapons enrichment program.

Why did this happen? Did Iran reneg on their debt to Russia? Or is Russia genuinely displeased with Iran's non-compliance? Any thoughts on this?

And please no comments like "OMG its another WMD scare" because it is recognized bythe UN as well as everywhere else that Iran is making nuclear weapons, iran has announced it, its no secret so please stop citing old news.

I was wondering if 1 in 8 people are released from prison after having been found innocent, what happens to them? Does the government step in to help them, pay their taxes perhaps for a few years? How hard is it for them to find a job or go to school or anything like that? Where could I find the information on this? Thanks

If someone tells you that you can stay with them for as long as you need to rent free and you've stayed there for months going to school and saving up to find your own apt. but then they get tired of you living with them can they just tell you to get out on that very day, or do they have to give you at least 30 days, to find a place and at least find somewhere to store your things, or do they have the right to say get out right now? This is in IL.

I made a very bad mistake by agreeing to take out a $5000 loan for a friend who has no credit so he could keep his car and not go into bankruptcy. He has three jobs and initially said it would be no problem paying it off each month. He recently accumulated some heavy medical expenses and said he wouldn't be able to pay it off...at least for a while. So now I'm stuck with having to pay this $5000 loan off. My question is, would I have any chance at winning a case in small claims court over this? I didn't even think to have him sign an agreement with me when I took the loan out. Is the verbal agreement he gave me good enough? Any help would be greatly appreciated, cause I really don't know what to do and I'm really getting freaked out about it. Thanks in advance!
