you're being vague. Iraq was not directly involved as far as we can prove. but, saddam was associated with terrorists. and did have ties to al-qaeda. but, that wasn't the reason why we went in to begin with. saddam violated the treaty from the 1st gulf war numerous times and the straw that broke the camel's back was that MANY intelligence agencies from around the world, allied and not, not just ours, said he had WMD's. and he did, you not remember the gassing of Kurds? you think he ran out and decided to not have any more? good grief. and Plame was NOT covert. you're only covert if you're on assignment. Plame was in washington, NOT on assignment. look up the definition of covert and you'll understand. just like the rest of ya. spouting off comments that you know nothing about except from what you saw on CNN. open your eyes my friend!

The hearings on Plame's covert status are not yet over, so it's a little soon to be making that determination. However, the woman that WROTE the law that defines what a covert operative is, has stated that Plame does not qualify. One reason for this is because the first standard to be met is to be stationed outside of the CONUS. Since she lived in DC, she does not qualify.
Also, when asked if the CIA had ever told her that she was a covert operative, Plame said, "No." Now I find it hard to believe that the CIA has agents that are so covert, that the agents don't even know they are covert.
As to Iraq, we did not resume hostilities there because of 9/11 and no one but liberals has ever claimed that we did. The Gulf War never ended. We signed a Cease-Fire Treaty with Saddam in which both parties agreed that we would stop fighting under certain conditions. Saddam did not keep his end of the bargain, so fighting resumed. Similarly, the Korean War has never ended, there is a Cease-Fire still in that country. If North or South Korea fail to abide by that Treaty, then fighting will resume.

They only believe what they want to because of their deep commitment to the conservative cause. Everyone else just looks at it from the perspective that most of the news coming out of the White house is bogus propaganda bent toward the desired direction. I am glad that I don't work there because you never know who you may be a fall guy for. In the end the truth will come out but the damage will have already been set on a time table for the next 35 years or so. I think that players in the CIA have been running our government since the Reagan years with a brief sign of relief during Bill Clinton's tenure. He was smart enough to work in the areas where he could actually do some good and also smart enough not to get in their way until the sex scandal. Perhaps in this sense G.W. Bush will be a fall guy for a hidden entity, the secret source of misinformation.

I still can't believe more people don't look into this and see what really happened that day. There is so much information out in books, DVDs the Internet, papers etc which contradict what happened, but people just don't seem to care. They just call you a kook or something if you don't go along with what the government says happened that day! But if you do the research, you will see there is no way the world trade centers could collapse the way they did, there is no way a plane hit the pentagon, and there is no way flight 93 impacted on the ground with the way the wreckage was spread out. It just amazes me how the government can brainwash people and the power that they have. This is in both parties. There is a small group of people who run the country and they will do anything and everything to keep their power and get what they want. Look at nearly every major event in this country and it didn't happen the way it was presented.. the Kennedy assassination, two flight 800, Oklahoma city bombing, Vince foster suicide, 911, and several others i am forgetting. If you look at all of these, you can see there was a cover up, but a majority of the people in the country don't seem to care. This is scary when the government can be so powerful over the population. And the sad thing is that it's only getting worse..

It’s no longer in elementary terms unhappy, it’s frightening. It’s no longer surprising that that many individuals initially believed that Iraq and 9/11 have been related. That theory replace into intentionally more suitable with the help of the Bush administration’s consistent association of the two. It labored. Polls in 2003 confirmed that 70% of people believed that Saddam replace into in my opinion in contact in 9/11. what's surprising is that persons proceed to have faith this. Even the Bush administration perpetrators have taken pains to attempt to disassociate themselves from the link between Iraq and 9/11. in keeping with risk the ongoing theory is with the help of stubbornness because of the fact some people ought to delude themselves and a technique or the different proceed to justify the invasion of Iraq as warranted even with the info to the different.

Yes. It is also sad that some people believe that the US gov't and/or the "Zionist entity" were involved in the 9/11 attacks. Aaron b does.

The question Plame refused to answer was when her covert status ended. She hedged her words a lot. Did you watch the hearings?
There is plenty of evidence that Iraq was involved with the Oklahoma City bombing. That was all suppressed though, and Timothy McVeigh was put to death rather quickly.

Plame stated she was a covert agent. The Congressional hearing has not made a ruling.
They may find she was a covert agent. So ask this again when they have made their ruling.

it is sad, and unfortunately it is the america we live in.
Dont worry though, the bushies time is almost up..serious change is on the horizon, lets just hope it will be enough.
To the first poster, your a lemming if you think no one of the republican's henchman ever mentioned Iraq's involvement in 9/11. Even the Democrats jumped on that bandwagon back in '03. Once again, Republicans/Conservatives shirk their responsibility, playing the ignorance card and ultimately passing their failed aspirations and consequences onto the Democrats.

It is sad that denial serves as reality for so many. Lately it's seemed as though we can envision the entire Republican Party treading water in desperation, waiting for the next scandal to rear its ugly head. They seem to respond to the emerging facts about the corruption of their party with boomerang tactics. They try to throw mud at the Democrats for their own mistakes and corruption only to have it come back and hit them in the head. I think they've been hit in the head so many times it has caused permanent brain damage. Maybe that explains the parrot-like rhetoric that we're all so tired of hearing...
