Or should we depend upon a powerful Navy and Air Force? Why have we been able to win wars in the twentieth century without a strong Army in readiness? Will these conditions continue to hold? Would a policy of universal training shorten our wars? Reduce our losses? Would such training in times of peace really prepare men for combat in a future war?

I am always hearing whining about the media from republicans but I do not see why. After all... they have total control of fox news and the CEO's of most networks on their side.

The US Attorneys serve at the pleasure of the president he has the right to appoint or dismiss them for ANY reason or NO reason. Unless there is a crime in these resignitaions of 8 US Attorneys then there should be no investigation of them. It is a waste of my money to investigate legal activity for a political agenda. Congress and the Senate are engaging in a political witch hunt. The irony here is that they are investigating these resignations to see if they were politically motivated because four of the eight were investigating republicans.

I just got a speeding ticket on the highway and I was pulled over by an officer with a radar gun. I was wondering if the officer needs documentation to use this tool. I believe that the radar itself needs to be calibrated and have documentation of that, but I'm not sure if I should bring up the fact that the officer has to be properly trained to use it. Would this be a liable defense?

Heya what a Horrible day. Well i was driving in L.A today heading to ucla Neurosurgery dept for my daughter. Anyways long story short. After i got off the 405 freeway at wilshire east exit i merged in with traffic and continued driving straight 1 block Traffic was so congested. I approched the green light went under it and it turned yellow I was trying to merge into the next lane over and i was completely under the light when it turned red. I could of gone straight and avoided all this mess but i couldnt get over so i waited and merged. I saw the camera take 2 pics of me and i was shocked i did not think i did anything wrong at all. When i went through the light was green. But i stopped under the light trying to get into the other lane. I called the lapd but they couldnt tell me much. I have never run light and have no points on my license, nor do i want any. I was driving probably 2-3 mph at the time this happened. Any opitions would be great thanks in advance

If you get a subpoena to appear in court as a witness in a battery case, do you have to go? The person that got arrested pushed me, but I didn't press charges. It's kinda a bs deal and I don't want them to get punished for anything this stupid. Do I have to go?

I hear from liberals - get with the times - this is 2007 not 1897.
These are modern times and you don't HAVE to be married to have a baby!
Anyone should be able to be married.
Families can mean ANYTHING these days.
Etc.

Isn't what's RIGHT, moral, and decent...ALWAYS right and decent? Does God need to change his Commandments - Thou shalt not commit adultery unless you "feel" like it and you want a divorce anyway...

They, the liberals, attack him about darn near everything. And this does not seem right. It seems that they never gave him a chance; like theres nothing he can do right nor will do right. As a matter of fact, they will have you believe he is bad person with malicious intentions. Suffice it to say, liberal media has possibly brainwashed many into believing that President Bush does nothing right, and that everything he touches is tainted. If he cured cancer tomorrow, liberals would find something to blame him for. But let me tell you this: If there is another terrorist attack you can bet liberals will be sorry for handicapping victory in Iraq. What does it take for liberals to finally get off President Bush's back?

We have a problem in which an admission of a crime is to be offered against the defendant in the form of a letter. However, the letter is typed and not signed.

It would be admissable as an admission of a party opponent, however, I would argue that a typed letter with no signature cannot be authenticated (except by the defendant, who does not have to testify)

Even though the Federal Rules of Evidence are pretty clear (901 and 902), I am having trouble finding caselaw

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!
