The Dems will win in 08....Republican, GOP and conservatives are all bad words right now. And it is their own fault.
I do not for a moment blame every Republican for the mess this country is in, but I do blame them for letting Bush get away with running the country on his own. There was a republican Congress.. they should have used some power to protect this country and the people. Instead they let this crazy cowboy who could not run anything else in his life, play soldier and play King. And he is.. he is recklessly letting our troops be killed, he is standing by letting big corporations rape our economy and all he does is grin.
Then if he is questioned, or God forbid anyone questions his buddies, Rove or Cheney .. he threatens. The Office of the President has too much power, way too much. There should be a way that he has to answer to the people... but it is long gone.
So unfortunately for the cons.. they will be gone from power very soon. I am not saying the Dems will be any better , but they at least, will have to be careful for awhile. It is sad that we have only too choices...Perhaps it is time for another party.. maybe one that IS for the people, by the people~

Their bound to collide with Hillary at that rate ! The old broad is moving so fast to the middle, they will be calling her Tillah before long. This is a popular Clinton tactic, it's one that slick Willie used on Bob Dole when he ran against slick.
They figure, the closer to the middle they get politically, the smaller target they become. I.E. Hillary came out last week and said that she would keep some troops in Iraq, after she became president. She didn't explain why, other than to add a few superficial, reasons like helping the Iraqi government and the Kurds. Bullcrap ! This is their idea of doing nice with the voters. It's like saying, we won't escalate the war, we will just keep a few guys around in case someone needs help.
But, stupid Americans buy into that kind of pathetic logic, they think we all forgot about their Rahm Emanuel strategy. Which is: 'Don't worry about the truth, just tell them what they want to hear.'
Just remember folks, Hillary and slick are all smoke and mirrors ! There is nothing real about them, it's Hollywood at its best and worst.
The GOP certainly has it's work cut out for it, but I also believe the democratic ticket is looking so weak that a good run by Giuliani or Romney could make the difference.

I don't know about that. Although it is early to tell for certain, it seems like Giuliani will be nominated, not only because he is popular with the people, but because he is a moderate and republicans have lossed a lot of their conservative base. It would be foolish for the republican to nominate Romney, for example, because he is a conservative and too many people have headed toward the left. A moderate, such as Giuliani may still have a chance. He is way up in the polls. I believe many Americans are neither hardcore conservative republican or liberal democrat and tend to look for something in between. (Their is no doubt that both parties offer great ideas)
You may be right, however. My hypothesesis it that Giuliani, if nominated, will win the popular vote regardless, but the democrats have a good chance of taking the electoral votes, which would, therefore, mean that they win.

True but the left moved to the right in th 06 election
it all depends on how Pelosi conducts the congress in the next year or so if people don;t see a positive change, watch for the Indys and the right to gain some seats

the Dems are just brazen and silly enough to let Gulliani beat there tails in 08. He will win the republican nod with ease and the dems will fight to the death for theirs. Once again showing the seperation under their own roof.

i might like Biden or Richardson (probable Richardson first) properly till now any of the front runners. i wouldn't consider all of their positions, yet a minimum of i will admire the adventure that they deliver about to the table. i won't for the existence of me comprehend the gushing that human beings have over 3 senators that have squat for adventure.

normally i would agree with you, since republicans have fallen so far out of favor witht he general public. however, i'm going to have to say that the dems lose because their star contenders; Clinton and O'Bamma (i might have misspelled that one) won't be enough to sway the votes leftward
