I wouldn't say he was "hiding behind Christianity", more like "taking advantage of it".

He is preaching to the masses especially those in the bible belt. I am a Christian and I find his hiding behind the bible insulting and offensive. He almost sounds like he knows Gods phone number and has daily conversation with him.
But on the other hand Osama Bin Laden is hiding behind Islam shouldn't the Muslims be offended?

Yes, he is hiding behind Christianity. He is no longer fooling the Nation, however.

absolutely.
That being said, he shares a lot in common with the fundamentalist christians who support him. He hates gays, he hates atheists, he opposes choice, he supports Israel unconditionally, he doesn't care about the earth (the endtimes are coming soon, so the environment doesn't matter), and he thinks poor people deserve to suffer.
Yeah, he's fits the profile of a modern American Right-Wing Christian to a "T"

We allowed and continue to allow the deception...hence, it is no longer a deception.
He's just doing what he darn well wants and to hell with what we think. Hmmmm smacks of a dictatorship, doesn't it?
I agree with the premise that he uses Christianity he isn't hiding.

He defiantly took advantage of Christianity especially during his re-election, by using gay marriage and abortion issues to target and gather support from certain Christian groups.

The sort of thing one would expect from an Antichrist. Not that I am accusing him of being the Antichrist but he does do things the Antichrist would be proud of.
