Denouncing a conflict entering its fifth year, protesters across the country raised their voices Saturday against U.S. policy in Iraq and marched by the thousands to the Pentagon in the footsteps of an epic demonstration four decades ago against another divisive war. Many war protesters are ex military who understand the USA is wrong to go into Iraq.

Start wars with other countries on false pretenses!

Breakdown the countries Govt. via covert activities.

Investigate domestic terrorism 411 days after its occurrence.

Sow seeds of terror among the public.
Point guns at people and tell them they are free and living in a democratic country.

Steal another countries natural resources.

Is that democracy?

It's why I left the republican party.

A few years ago clothing styles took on a 70ish look. Now it seems we have moved to the 60s. I think it odd that we are on some cycle, and our clothing style is influenced by political influences.
any ideas or research on this cycle?

BTW if you have not noticed the trend then you have no sense of style and will not understand, so dont bother answering,,,NYA

of the republicans. Let's not forget that little thing called Presidential Veto, which they will never override. So again I ask, why are the liberals getting the blame for everything under the sun when it's President Bush's ball and it's in his court?

In the wake of the protests yesterday on Washington DC and other cities, I'm wondering if local and state police involved in those demonstrations may have wanted to take a more active role. As people charged with keeping peace, do you think mediation by law officers may have reduced tensions between pro-war and anti-war proponents?

this has nothing to do with teaching evolution in schools or religion.

the ACLU is well known for taking on cases to bring even to the us supreme court, which costs a heck of a lot of $$$, to argue on behalf of NAMBLA, to obtain its so-called right to allow them to legally molest little boys under the age of 7 (!!!) inside of our country instead of them having to travel to third world nations where they must "buy" such boys!

in addition, the ACLU says that it should be able to participate in the military tribunals that shall be held at guantanamo bay detention camp that shall be held to prosecute the admitted planner (a BO slob if i ever saw one) of the 911, and many others, [suicide] attacks against our country and the tribunals to be held against his numerous cohorts, also terrorists.

the ACLU wants in so that it can appeal the wise punishments that our government will surely dole out to these dregs of society living amongst us, who are out to KILL YOU.

They always spout this nonsensical "We're a Republic, not a Democracy" nonsense. There is no difference between a democracy and a Republic.

Are they that afraid of government of the people, by the people, and for the people?

We need to stay ion Iraq until we win. But liberals want us to leave before then, which makes me think they want us to lose- further proof they hate freedom. Most Iraqis want the US there- America is the world's beacon of freedom, and we have brung freedom to iraq. Most iraqis want us there- but the ones who dont are the terrorist- and we need to stay until we kill all the terrorists.

Democrats in the house are pushing for the withdrawl of troops by the end of August, 2008, if matters have not improved in Iraq.
Personally, I think this is incredibily reasonable. If by August 31 of next year, things are even worse, the troop surge has obviously once again not worked out as hoped.
At that point, it should be common sense that things will not ever get better if we continue using our military, as strong as it is.
So, don't you think this proposed legislation is reasonable?
And shouldn't we support it?

I was just fired from my job over a medical problem that I have had for over 10 years. I have been at the job for over a year. I was fired because of the fact that I have Crohns disease and I had missed some days from work because of it. At the staffing agency I didnt have any personal sick time or short term disability from the job I could take. So I had took a month off to recoorperate I told my staffing manager at the agency what was going on she said ok. So when I got better I contacted the agency to place me at a new assignment to work. She said that I need a note from the Dr stating that I could start back to work and that this would not interfere with me missing any more days. I was fine for 2 months I started back I had missed 1 day for illness and missed another I had an med emergency & had to miss the whole day I have an drs note excusing me when i came back the next day they fire me and didnt want to see my dr's excuse. Should I sue them for discrimation

Or is there a greater factor that supersedes the organisations role - 'social realities' beliefs, Values. Is the idea of looking at ethnicity from an organisation context at best mis placed? Or should we be looking at ethnicity from a wider context - 'social-political' arena of living in modern day Britain. Ultimately, who is responsible for this change? Governments, organisations or people?
