Democrats in the house are pushing for the withdrawl of troops by the end of August, 2008, if matters have not improved in Iraq.
Personally, I think this is incredibily reasonable. If by August 31 of next year, things are even worse, the troop surge has obviously once again not worked out as hoped.
At that point, it should be common sense that things will not ever get better if we continue using our military, as strong as it is.
So, don't you think this proposed legislation is reasonable?
And shouldn't we support it?

Yes and I do. Bush has never had any plan.

If not for it was a voting year I would maybe agree but since it is NO way in hell! Hey let's make sure the war is over before the elections this way it makes us (democrats) seem like we know what was best instead of actually doing anything. This is the only reason why Democrats want it over before next election.

The President is Commander-in-Chief, not Congress

Their recommendation should be duly noted, and then rejected.
