Please be honest.

1. Do you support the war in Iraq?

2. How would you rate Bush's overall leadership as president? (on a scale 1-10)

3. Should Bush be impeached?

I'll keep tally, thanks

2 months ago, my former friend's dad got in an accident, in which he was no longer able to work. He was no longer to pay the bills and was 2 months behind. I was nice, so I loan my friend 4000 dollars. He promised he would have payed me once he received his income return. 1 month ago, his friend told me he had received his income return. Right after, I tried to get ahold of him, but to no avail. He never answered my calls or was never home. At that time, I had arranged to pay a deposit and first months rent of an apartment my friends and I were getting. I had 3 days left to pay, but I still couldn't get ahold of him. I found out one day that he told his friend that he was never going to pay me. This is when my 4 friends and I decided to break into his house to at least get some stuff of his. One night, we drove to his house. When we got there, we decided not to do it, so my friend just threw 2 rocks at the windows. On the way out of the neighborhood, we got stopped.

ITS COMPLETE BS TO SAY THAT IF AN AMERICAN CITIZEN IS AGAINST ISRAEL, THAT HE OR SHE IS "ANTI-SEMITIC". FIRST OF ALL, BOTH JEWS AND ARABS ARE SEMITES, SO BEING ANTI-SEMITIC COULD MEAN MANY THINGS. SECONDLY, ISRAEL IS THE WORLDS LAST APARTHEID STATE AND THEY MUST WITHDRAW ALL OF THEIR BRUTAL MILITARY FROM ALL OCCUPIED PALESTINIAN LAND IMMEDIATELY!

This is not very long, but very informative. First you have to read the catalogue of events in this brief piece. Then, ask yourself how anyone can take the position that all we have to do is bring our troops home from Iraq, sit back, reset the snooze alarm, go back to sleep, and no one will ever bother us again. In case you missed it, World War III began in November 1979... that alarm has been ringing for years.

>US Navy Captain Ouimette is the Executive Officer at Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida. Here is a copy of the speech he gave last month. It is an accurate account of why we are in so much trouble today and why this action is so necessary.

>AMERICA NEEDS TO WAKE UP!
That's what we think we heard on the 11th of September 2001 (When more than 3,000 Americans were killed). Maybe it was, but I think it should have been "Get Out of Bed!" In fact, I think the alarm clock has been buzzing since 1979 and we have continued to hit the snooze button and roll over for a few more-

This is not a question of who should have or shouldn't have done what in the past. I watched the entire protest in DC on C-span yesterday, and not one speaker even attempted to answer this question. They just said we need to get out and dismantle the war machine and shouted slogans in unison. Listening to the speakers, you would think they believe that Iraq will live in peace if only we leave. But I wouldn't want to assume that is their position without hearing more.

Without name-calling or slogans from either side, I would like to know the rest of the plan, after the "Leave Iraq Now" part has been completed.

Maybe it would be ok to profit, but that profit would have to include restrictions, such as a limit on the amount of profit. Say anything over $1 million. Meaning that when a profit of $1 million was reached, weapons are sold to the US Government at cost. Cost, of course, would include all costs to produce the weapons.

I'll bet that each war would end after the first day as the weapons manufacturers are certainly able to skim a million a day off the conservative estimate of $500 million a day it costs to do war.

Counting every war, including the Civil War, WW I and WW II.

They laid down their lives for us whom live in freedom today and I'm curious to know what other Americans think the majority of our brave and fallen heroes would be saying about todays political climate and whether they would be voting Democrat or Republican?

-Saddam would have invaded Iran with us because he hated Iranians even more than he hated Americans, and the Persian Gulf War was long over. He hadn't invaded since the Iran-Iraq War because nobod else would support him, and Iran was more powerful than him. but on our side, we would have been more powerful.
-Iran is building nuclear weapons that they say are peaceful, but that is obviously a lie.
-Iran was always more of a threat than Saddam was. Iran is close to getting WMD's and Iraq had none.
-Iranians are giving insurgents weapons to kill US troops, so they are indirectly killing our troops.
-Their President wants to wipe Israel off the map, most likely with nuclear weapons.

I saw her pandering to captive audiences. Telling a Black Church they needed more government subsidies, and a bunch of young and old age people they needed universal health care. What the young people of today forget, when they hear all of this stuff, is that it has to be paid for. Taxes, pay for it, and they come from the people. She forgot to tell us where she is going to tax.

Jennifer Loven - Associate Press - Washington

"The spending bill totals $124 billion, $95.5 billion of which is targeted for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The rest of the money in the House bill would go to domestic programs unrelated to the wars.

Republicans said that was a thinly disguised attempt to win support from reluctant Democrats with pork-barrel spending. Democrats said the extra money was for legitimate needs."

Legitimate needs?

Approximately $19 million is earmarked for redoing the offices of the Democratic majority!

Just turned 28 yrs old. Have a BA from a very large midwestern state school. While I have done some post-grad work, I have not yet completed an advanced degree. Have some skill with far-east languages. Currently an office peon/accountant. Single, no kids.

Wanted to join the military 5 yrs ago, but my plans were interrupted by personal problems. Would prefer not to get into details. Suffice it to say they are now resolved & would not affect my ability to serve.

I am civic minded & already volunteer for city gov't. Would like to take on something more ambitious. Military service seems the natural way to go. But can I even serve in the military? Is age a problem? If no, what is the best way to serve?

Dad & late grandpa (via grandma) have conveyed fondness for Navy. This in spite of the fact that dad was a Sea Bee during Vietnam while grandpa served in the Pacific at the height of WW2. Would like to follow them to the Navy.

Would love to hear from people serving. Thanks in advance!
