"The spending bill totals $124 billion, $95.5 billion of which is targeted for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The rest of the money in the House bill would go to domestic programs unrelated to the wars.

Republicans said that was a thinly disguised attempt to win support from reluctant Democrats with pork-barrel spending. Democrats said the extra money was for legitimate needs."

Legitimate needs?

Approximately $19 million is earmarked for redoing the offices of the Democratic majority!

Stop driving the Weak Sisters crazy by pointing out their logical inconsistencies!

After all, this is the crowd that wants credit for being in favor of "fiscal responsibility" - even though they are not in favor of it, have never been in favor of it, and will NEVER be in favor of it. Their real complaint about the spending that's gone on during Bush's administration is that THEY were not the ones doing the spending!

Probably going to cost 19 million to redo the offices because they have to hire Halliburton to do it. Another no bid contract I'm sure.

You can not seriously be whining about 19 million dollars when billions upon billions upon BILLIONS have been WASTED in Iraq.

Oh wait I forgot the only thing necessary to war mongers is war.

I beleive there are alot of sources on the net that prove these money don't go entirely for the war.

For example: they used 128 million for peanut storage...

Cheney has everything to win through haliburton and he pockets hundreds of millions.

This is public information. Look it up.

So... "Que Bono?" : Who Profits ?
