Hell yes. The ones teaching these days seem to have taken an oath to communism.
The teacher up above is the representation of brainwashed people. Why do teachers shove the theory of evolution if they are concerned with facts?Makes no sense.

Hey, I probably agree with you on a lot of things, but I'm not taking any loyalty oath to either God or country! In fact, I found it a little spooky when a school district around here wanted that on their applications for employment. I didn't apply there. I don't trust people who are "ultras" on either side. Their equally crazy!

You know as an Returned Peace Corps Volunteer and a former Americorps volunteer I took an oath to serve my country twice. My fellow teachers do not and there is no difference. We teach the children to think critically and make decisions based upon a plethora of information.

uh, no.
The Bible specifically forbids all oaths. (Matt 5 v33-37) and also forbids prayer in public schools. (Matt 6 5-13). That means no loyalty oaths, no pledge of allegiance, no prayer in public schools. Many people who claim to be Christians ought to read their own Bibles when they try to advocate for a return to the days of unison prayers in the classroom, the Pledge of Allegiance, (also a form of idolatry, as one is pledging allegiance to a flag) etc.
Teachers should undergo extensive background investigations, not take a meaningless pledge.

No, but they should take an oath to teach only the facts and not attempt to influence students with their personal opinions.

They could, but it would infringe upon their rights.
You cant force someone to be loyal to their country. I am a loyal American, but I disagree with many American policies,
An oath of loyalty to what God, the Christian version of God? Look, many Americans don't believe in/worship your God..Personally, I am an athiest. All it would do is have me break that oath, and honestly, I wouldnt feel bad.
I love my country, but I cant force others to love it too.

No. They should take an oath to teach the truth. Religion and blind nationalism should not be taught by public educators except when used comparatively.

NO. This is a country of religious FREEDOM--and no one has a right to impose their religious beliefs on others.
Also--if you really understood or new anything real about Americaa--you'd know that such an oath is unconstitutional--article six--no religious tests for serving in any public capacity.
As for a loyalty oath to America--that I can go with--provided it is an oath to uphold and defencd the constitution.

i don't believe of so. it really is a relic from chilly conflict paranoia. i'm no longer putting forward that Communism is okay. The communists were operating hard to get into the faculties, videos, and politics in us of a. yet often times people get overly shielding and make such issues because the Pledge of Allegiance.

Good luck. With all the communists that have infiltrated the education system, it is a daunting task.
Liberals should be forced to put country first. Watch that one. LOL
