IXIMCHE, Guatemala (AP) - A whiff of incense, a sputter of candles, a hum of prayer. Mayan Indian activists on Thursday offered the gentlest protest yet to the Latin American tour of U.S. President George W. Bush as they held a purification ceremony to drive out the "bad spirits" they said he had left behind during a stop at their ancient pyramid.

Why did cops in NYC search my bag on the subway for NO reason?

I'm just a young girl minding my own business. Its a new rule/law/whatever of random stop and search in subways and buses.

Subway has thousands of entrances that terrorists can get thru with no detection. Does Bush think manning only a handful of entrances is going to stop a terrorist?

Soon the govt will have the right to stop me anytime anywhere to seach my bag for NO APPARENT REASON. I was just WALKING for godsake! What is this..Communist China?

MEANWHILE, MEXICAN AND CANADIAN BORDERS ARE WIDE OPEN!! WHO'S MANNING THE BORDERS

I also am a victim of sexual harrassment and possible assault,
on June of 2006, four male soldiers tied me up in a chair with duct tape, wheeled me into a supply cage, and used a mannequin in different sexual positions on me. I went to the military police, my unit, and nothing was resolved. What can you do to help?

JENKINS is a heavy drinker, and is well known for being able to handle his liquor. One night he is out drinking with his friends and as a prank one of them puts drugs into his pint. 2 hours later, in the street outside the pub, JENKINS begins to shout and swear at people. JENKINS is drunk, having consumed 10 pints of lager. Police officers approach him and he shouts and physically threatens the officers. They arrest him for being drunk and disorderly. At court, it is argued that his disorderly behaviour was due entirely to the drug, of which he had no knowledge, and, accordingly, that he is not guilty of the offence.

A He may be guilty, as alcohol is a partial cause of his intoxication.
B He is guilty, as it is immaterial what caused the intoxication.
C He is not guilty, as this offence is not made out where there are several causes of the incapacitated state.
D He is not guilty, as the cause of his intoxication was not self induced

Most people don't realize that many Russian submarines carrying nuclear missile are stationed very close to the territorial waters of the US. It takes only 3 minutes for a nuclear misslile launched from a sub to reach major US cities. In contrast, our missiles have to fly for half an hour before reaching the Russian soil. 3 minutes is not enough time to figure out whether the launch of a missile is the beginning of an attack.

Russia is becoming more and more agressive and some people say that it is moving towards establishing a fascist regime. Many Russian nationalists and many Russians in general hate the US and would like to see our country destroyed.

My ex's mother is constantly threatening me if I do not let her see my daughter (ex. her son stop paying me child support) is careless with my daughter (burned once by mistake with cigarette, unexplained bruises, etc) and I would be happy if she wasn't involved in my daughters life at all. (At least until my daughter is old enough to decide)

I go to school full time and work on the weekends so I find it hard enough to spend enough time with my daughter. The grandmother gets upset if she doesn't have my daughter for at least one whole day a week and usually wants to take her without any notice.

My ex and I are trying to be friendly but it is hard with her always coming in between. He is paying unoffical child support because we didn't want things to get ugly in court.

So my questions are, does the grandmother have any legal rights at all and would it be wrong for me to keep my daughter away from her except for short visits?

rosie o'donald, or however you spell it, starts taking the side of a terrorist, and starts accusing the US government of being the bad guy. housewives sit their and watch her say it and then conservatives wonder why there are so many liberals in america, and liberals wonder why conservative say that the media is left-leaning.
there is no evidence of anything that rosie said, and no one confirmed the claims of khalid.
more proof needed that liberals are ready to jump at opportunity to accuse the US government?
SINCE WHEN ARE AMERICANS MORE LIKELY TO TRUST A TERRORIST THAN THEIR OWN COUNTRY??

I met a group of gals for lunch today at a local Firehouse subs. As we sat on the outdoor patio, I noticed this man far down the shopping strip coming out of a grocery store. He had on baggy pants, shirt, baggy jacket and scraggly hair. He was only carrying a jug of orange juice.

As we ate, I watched as the man would take a swig of juice, set the jug down on the sidewalk before him, and do this repeated pattern of brushing his pant legs, scratching his knees, and repeatedly brushing the sidewalk with his hands. Then he would pick up the jug and continue walking.

Everyone was staring of course trying to figure out what was going on. I put down my sandwich. I watched as the man got closer, and he actually stopped near out table and did the whole thing over again. Everyone could only stare as he continues ALL the way down the sidewalk continuing to do that while whispering to himself.

Do you think that was OCD? Should someone have called the cops or someone to help him?

Many Democrats have already stated publicly that the US Attourneys serve 'at the presidents pleasure' and that he is free to fire as many of them as he wants with no reason whatsoever. it is within his presidential powers.

Clinton fired over 90 of them at once and there were ongoing investigations into his and Hillary's personal misconduct which then simply stopped. This is not the case with Bush.

Isnt this just another fishing expidition?

Democrats - Why do you think this could be "Bush's Watergate"?

Perhaps I should rephrase. I have read in the TNT that you are allowed to spread your working restriction of 12 months over your 2 years, travelling etc in between. This is what I would like to do. Does any1 have any suggestions regarding the kind of jobs I should be looking at? Casual work is ideal because it is flexible but does not always pay very well. Does any1 have suggestions for sources of good work that is casual/ flexible?

And does any1 have any tips of how to manage this kind of "lifesyle"? I am accostomed to receiving a salary at the end of every month, how do people manage to budget etc with part time work. How is the best way to go about this. Im looking for tips.

Sure, the average law abiding citizen can own a firearm legally, but a handgun cannot leave the place of residence without a concealed carry permit. In most places, the handgun cannot be carried openly, and a concealed carry permit is required to take it on your person or in your vehicle.

So you are vulernable when you leave your home, unless you register with the government. But if the government knows who carries, then the citizens are vulnerable to it.

So citizens have no recourse regarding a tyrannical government. In the case with Nazi Germany, if the Jews had been armed without registration, the concentration camps would probably not have existed.
