i would not be dong the exact versions, but rather using my own voicings and improvising on the melody. i would be doing standards by miles, coltrane, evans, etc. and i would be playing them on solo piano. Is this against copyright laws?

This is the story:

I went to a club for the first time in 3 months to meet someone. The cover was $6 and since I only $5 on me, the lady at the door told me to go to the bar and use my bank/debit Visa card to get the $6 there. I had $8 and change in my bank (had not received my paycheck yet) . The bartender wanted to keep the card , but I asked for it back and he ran the reciept and had me sign. Since it was dark and I was thinking I was signing for $6 dollars I did not ask anything and signed.

Guess what? There was $11 charged to my card and now my bank account is overdrawn $2.50 and I will have a $32 bank fee now!

Just in case , he was clever and printed up a reciept showing $11 dollar charge and I signed for it, can I still dispute this?!!

Why should it be less of a crime to beat, kill, harass, etc. a member of one group of people as opposed to another?

Aren't all malicious acts hateful?

The liberals in this country are missing there backbone. Conservatives have always known what we stand for, can the left say the same? Spreading lies, mistruth. Doing anything, including immoral things to do what, win an election? Liberals used to seek truth and not just want to win elections, even if they always were a little nutty. The welcomes different opinions and ideas. They had ANSWERS and solutions, not just oppositon. It is the left that's a danger to democracy, a danger to this country, a danger to themselves.

I am mainly a rifle person, but I would enjoy having a pistol, mainly for target practice - so low priced ammo is a plus. I am thinking in the range of $300-$500, for a good used one. Perferably an urban style, not western. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks

my husband and i went into the trucking business with a friend of one of our family members recently. behind our backs, the friend decided to have our truck leased on to a company. because our truck was in my husband's name, the company would only write the checks payable to the owner of the truck. well, the friend decided to write up a document stating that my husband wanted all checks that are payable to our truck to be written in the friend of the family member's name. the friend also had the document notarized. my husband was not present during the notary. my husband and i suffered financially from this because the friend basically spent all of the money our truck made. we filed a complaint against the notary public, he lost his license. and now i am wondering should we contact his bonding company? if so, how do we go about doing so? all of this happened in the state of texas. my husband and i were living and are still living in the state of california.

Instead of trying to imulate what we have here, why don't we simply offer them visas. Trying to recreate what we have here is impossible. So instead of a war, let them seek shelter here.

Wether we in the U.S want to accept it or not, the job of world baby-sitter has been forcefully granted to us. History backs up this statement very well. Remember WW1? We had to go in there and end things. How about WW2? This makes my statement even more poignant. Imagine if we chose to leave that fiasco be. Europe would have been property of a very harsh German reich. In the Persian Gulf war we saved a country and communism was halted all thanks to our efforts. This difficult job of overseeing world relations wont end anytime soon. There are still bickering countries and unsteady alliances. I dont know when the next big one will happen but I would bet you anything that we will be in there to break it up.

Your playing right into there hands! Wake up, stand strong and be an American! Sometimes that means doing what is hard and not taking the easy way out all the time. America used to have a stomach, a heart, and some courage. I know some of us still do, but what about the liberal left? Where is there backbone?

Police abuse their powers as law enforcers. since people need to listen to them, they tell u what ever they feel is on their mind, rude.. demanding.. and just abusing behavior in all. why isnt anything done about this.. i watch cops. and i now see its just a cover up to bring up their reputation. since they have a bad one... i just recently spoke to a police man. my dad was drunk. and was getting arrested with aggravated assault for threatening sumone with a gun. i went to him and told him what had happend and he yelled at me. told me to shut my mouth and never speak to him and then told me to go inside. i could not talk back or i would get charged with disorderly conduct. i just want to know why no one does anything about this...

In otherwords, can TOTAL assholes be kicked out of the marines?
