Police abuse their powers as law enforcers. since people need to listen to them, they tell u what ever they feel is on their mind, rude.. demanding.. and just abusing behavior in all. why isnt anything done about this.. i watch cops. and i now see its just a cover up to bring up their reputation. since they have a bad one... i just recently spoke to a police man. my dad was drunk. and was getting arrested with aggravated assault for threatening sumone with a gun. i went to him and told him what had happend and he yelled at me. told me to shut my mouth and never speak to him and then told me to go inside. i could not talk back or i would get charged with disorderly conduct. i just want to know why no one does anything about this...

Abuse of power is rampant in the country, because collectively we don't do anything about it.

Those whose rights are trampled on are often not in the position to do much to defend them, and most people who aren't directly affected don't seem to care if someone else loses their rights.

It's tragic, but it's the modern mindset. Until we change it.

I suspect there is more to the story that you are telling. Police officers are taught to use "command presence" to take control of a situation for their own protection and the protection of others.

The situation you described could also be a very vulnerable one for the officer. Your father was being arrested for a potentially violation felony and the officer was being approached by a family member about the situation. The officer had no way to know what you intentions were when you approached.

The officer has to take control of the situation first and then conduct the investigation. If you watch Cops as much as you say, you would know to stay quiet until the officer is ready to speak with you.

There is no answer to this problem unless people start to unite on this issue, I lost a son to a police killing in 2000 . I went to everyone and everything to get help, no one would but just recently some of the people in power had it to happen in their direct family now they are marching all the way to the capital for justice. Everyone is fighting their own battle not all for one.

of course they do, its the effort-free fact interior the human condition that capacity has a tendency to deprave and persons are needless to say evil. Authority=capacity. finally ends up in corruption. hence law enforcement officials=corruption. I cant have faith your even asking this. Its basic philosophy.
