First of all, thank you for your devotion to our country.
And only you must decide what will make you happy.
Picture yourself home, with your family, working 9-5 or going to college,
and then see yourself back in the Marines.
Close your eyes while you do it and you should be able to feel what thought brings you most joy.
Good luck.

Only you can make that decision. Why did you get out if you liked it so much? There must have been a reason that you chose to leave. So what you need to do is really make sure that getting back in is something that you want to do not that you are doing for some other reason like you cant find a job or something like that. Anyhow my husband was in the Marines and you are very brave whatever you decide good luck.

First let me thank you for your service. This is a question only you can answer. We have no right to ask you to give more. We love you and are proud of you already.

If you were to return to duty it would be more than we should expect but would not surprise us at all. Marines are very special people.

I have not served as a Marine but may I humbly proclam, Semper Fi!

I admire your bravery and your committment. Becoming a Marine is difficult and there is a reason why they are called the best of the best. It is very honorable to serve your country.

But if you go back, then be prepared to serve a tour in hell (Iraq). Be prepared to see good men die under orders from a cowardly man who couldn't even serve his country in the National Guard during peacetime. But you already know all that mess.

I have an uncle that served in Iraq, as well as two of my friends from high school. And let me tell you this, it changed them. They aren't the same people anymore and it's very sad.

Good luck man. Semper Fi

Well, if by saying that you have family means that you have a wife and children then I would say you need to stay with your family and be there for them. You can find other ways to support the Marines but your family needs more than just monetary support, a family needs a father.

if you are able to go, then go. there is no higher honor than being a soldier (or a mother).

if you cannot go, for whatever reason, why don't you get involved helping the soldiers who are coming back home?

many of them need help getting things set up...housing, supplies, coming back into civilian society.

have a nice day!

Follow your heart. Maybe speaking with your family on the matter may help you with your choice after you see what they want.
